In my opinion, this photo goes a long way to dispel the perception that the dogs in India are markedly different than what we're showing here in the USA. What a nice Doberman Mr Bierman chose for his Breed winner. The dog is compact, square, with good bone and substance… really a credit to his breeders and his bloodlines. Congratulations to all the winners.

Agador had produced some very nice offspring.

Based on the photo above I'd have to agree. We’d seen some of his puppies a few years back and were simply not impressed… and I have never really been a fan of Linda's stuff (going back to Chile. For one thing, they are just too long, and too much length is a bitch to get rid of in a breeding line - pun intended :p especially for a square breed like Dobermans), but the male Jaspar's Destiny's Child is very nice. Those interested in using Agador should take a good look at this dog's dam's phenotype and pedigree. What ever it is, it’s a breeding combination that clearly worked. And we hear that the Agador - Cambria’s Sebring male that Linda shows is nice(though bone may be an issue with him). Cambria’s Sebring (who is also Lil’ Claire’s dam) is a compact square bitch… she is a full sister to Multi BIS Ch. Cambria’s Victoria Secret. Possibly what Agador needs is a really square more refined bitch.

The Sardar (javinder singh- (Jasper) they call him dolly for some strange reason) breeds good dogs.

I'll say he does.:)

Not to side track this thread, but am I the only one who notices that the grass needs to be mowed? Granted, I may have a hang up with riding lawn mowers, and I may keep my lawn and pasture a bit short… but I’m really feeling the urge to send the riding mower to Bangalore.:D

I don't know if he imported the bitch in whelp - as far as I know they don't do AI in India (oh if only they did )

This is the third time I am composing this post as I tried to attach pics and poof! it just disappeared. So, I am going to request that kind lady Elaine G to upload the pics for me.

Yes, Elaine you are absolutely right about the grass. It seems that some one in the Palace Grounds goofed up and a last minute helter skelter for permissions from the Police, Fire Brigade, Municipality et al, left very little time to mow the grass down nice and short. Compound this with the intermittent showers and you can well image what the situation was. Anyways, thankfully the rains stayed away on the Saturday & Sunday but on Monday a heavy downpour for about an hour or so wreaked havoc.

Jaspar's Destiny's Child is sired by Agador and out of Can Ch Hip n Happening (Venus), who is the daughter of BIS Gr Ch Br & Gr Ch Pan-Am Charleston Kalahari (owned by Javinder) x Can Ch Sharinway's Double Jeopardy, also owned by JPS. Kalahari is a son of Lex Luthor x Multi BIS/BISS Br Gr Ch. Ch Pan-Am. Gr Venc. Nac. Charleston Gilda, a Yankee daughter. Venus was exported to Canada to Katherine Kew (Sharinways) to finish her Canadian Championship and brought back to India. There was only one pup in the litter and was hand reared as the mother could not suckle the pup due to little or no milk. Hence the name Destiny's Child. That is a credit to JPS' commitment and dedication to the breed and he deserves full credit for putting India right smack on the Dobermann map internationally.

Minka, coming to your observations and comments. Yes, your right no AI is permitted in India and I hope the above para provides the necessary insight into Destiny's Child. Yes, the Sardar does breed good Dobermanns and hopefully will continue to do so. JPS is fondly called 'Lolly' (not Dolly) by his near and dear ones. Since you do seem to know the Sardar, why don't you write me and let me know where you are located and a bit about yourself. Just curious.

Well, you've seen Destiny's Child and can see Kalahri on the Charleston website, so I am forwarding pics of his dam Venus to Elaine with a request to upload.

Regards to all.

Oh, btw Elaine. Please do let us know when you would be sending the riding mower to Bangalore. I am sure you will receive a million blessings.

And boy do I need a million blessings right about now!!! I’ll try to get it out in tomorrow’s mail. The US Postal Service is having a special holiday rate, it’s a flat fee for whatever you can stuff in the box. All I have to do is figure a way to stuff the Z-Turn Mower in a $13.95 box. :D:rolleyes:;)

She is a lovely bitch Minaz. Thanks for the photos. Can you tell us about her pedigree? Do you have a link to it?

In my earlier post, I did give her pedigree, but here it is again. Venus is Can Ch Jaspar's Hip n Happening sired by Charleston Kalahari x Can Ch Sharinway's Double Jeopardy, who in turn is bred by Katherine Kew (Sharinways) by Phil/NZ/AUS Ch Sharinway's Shado-Lans Cowboy out of Can Ch Sharinway's Amarillo Mornings by Am Ch Aeolus' Masterpiece.

I almost bred my Roxie, Ch. Kalora's Ooh La La V Cheriden to Agador, but decided to go to Trevor instead. It did not take.

Either breeding would have been nice. :) As I said, I’ve never been a big fan of Agador. For one thing, I want a well-angulated SQUARE dog (that our standard calls for)… which is incredibly difficult to produce. I do not want a litter of long-backed Dobermans. IMO, it’s a fault that will haunt a breeding program for generations. But I realize that you have to take the whole dog into consideration. Clearly when put to the right bitch, Agador produces well. :)

I must say I'm rather kicked about the fact that, dogs born Indian are winning abroad. This exp/imp business must cost a bomb, so there's a lot of money being spent still if the Brazilians & the Argentinians could do it - Bloody oath the Indians can.I used to hate it when they did documentaries on the City of Joy which showed abject poverty, it created perceptions - Now the documentaries about the tech parks, the gazillion engineers and doctors that created perceptions as well - Reality is a wholistic picture. i cringed when there was some negative press about how come people treated dog's in India. It bolsters perceptions - perceptions that were already bad.
Now people like Minaz & JPS seem to be doing their bit to change perceptions - I am excited

I agree - as a favorite law professor used to say, "Perception is reality." I think that the good breeders in India deserve a bit of the spotlight... so that we can see that - in balance - there are good, loving Doberman owners ALL AROUND the world. :)
