I note that the author is careful to say “this happens sometimes” ... not all the time. I think that we all have experiences where we felt gouged … and for a fact we’ve all had times where we question the professionalism and judgment of some of the vets we use. THat is NEVER a good feeling.

Bottom line, regardless of the context, none of us want to be anyone’s victim. We when have to turn to medical professionals, we simply want them to be “professional” with respect to every aspect of the care they provide (and not just with respect to how they bill their time). We are willing to pay for services rendered… all we really want is value for our money… that should not be asking too much.
