Athy, we’d love to be there. We lived in Maryland while Arthur was in medical school and know the area around this show grounds very well (we kept our mare up in Monkton, and drove by this venue at least twice a week). It’s great venue, a great show put on by some really wonderful fun dog people. I can’t think of a nicer way to spend a weekend. :) One or two of the dogs we’ve bred may like the panel or the venue, but they do not live with us. We don’t have anything to show. Here’s hoping for 2011. :)

Athy - Don and I are going to try to be there. Not sure if we will enter our puppy, but hope to meet you at the show. It sounds like fun. Paula
Hope to see you too! I am usually stewarding most of the day so I can't always chat long but I can certainly say hello :)

Geez this sounds like fun. We have nothing to show this year (though Tracy and B & C might), but we’ll be there next year for sure. :)
I hope to see some of my DSNN pals there - please come up and introduce yourselves to me if you're there!
I won't have Capricia with me - she's too young to show and I'm so busy with the show, I know I wouldn't be able to spend enough time with her. She needs a great deal of personal attention as you all can imagine :p
Anyway, if you're interested in attending, please get busy, closing date is this coming Wednesday. This is usually a very nice cluster of shows with LOTS of good shopping. Hope to see you there!

Okay, we got our entries last week and wow, it's shaping up to be one heckuva turnout:
Rally - 12
Obedience - 17
Puppy Sweeps - 13
Vet Sweeps - 1
Dogs - 16 4 POINT MAJOR!!!!
Bitches - 23 4 POINT MAJOR!!!!
Specials - 7
Boy, if you were looking for majors, I hope you entered the Cherry Blossom Circuit. The Baltimore club show is on Friday so our entries are often a couple dogs LESS than the other two shows on Saturday and Sunday. What a weekend of dog showing we're gonna have!!! Let's all hope that everyone stays healthy and will be there so these four pointers hold - how exciting!
As for timing, it looks like we'll start obedience at 9:00, rally somewhere around 11:30, then conformation at 2:00 PM (we'll start with sweeps with regular classes to follow).
Please be sure to stop by to say hello if you're there on Friday whether you're showing or not - we'd love to see you!
Athy :)

Thanks Athy, we hear it was a great show. Here is a link to the entry from MBF http://www.infodog.com/RESULTS/2010198401/201019840134200.HTM
Thank you, Elaine, I hope our exhibitors did enjoy themselves. We try very hard to create an environment in which the exhibitors are comfortable and can show their dogs to the best advantage. We don't always succeed 100% but we do try.
We had some timing issues last year and the year before and we tried very hard to resolve them this year and I think we were successful. While we did run a bit late on our obedience classes (moving from regular to rally, we were about 15 minutes behind schedule), we did start conformation classes on time at 2:00. I did receive one compliment from an exhibitor who appreciated that we were moving things along at a brisk pace and kept on time.
I would love to hear feedback from anyone who did attend the show. At our next meeting, we'll have a "post mortem" to identify ways to improve next year's show and I would love to hear your feedback and put it in the mix.
Thanks all!
Athy
