She looks beautiful ... and boy, it looks like "spring has sprung" in Maryland... it has here too.
These past few days anchor me in what I love about this area.. it is so pretty at this time of year as we shed the winter brown, the lawns come green again and all the dogwoods and azaleas start to bloom. :)

Yes, I agree. Spring has sprung.
My poor little yellow bush behind Carly took a pretty hard beating from the mounds of snow but hopefully some mulch and plant food will bring it back somewhat.
I am also quite thankful my "mud pit" of a yard is at least drying up a bit.
One thing the spring has brought is a ground hog that is making me crazy.
It has taken up residence under the small porch that leads to my kitchen.
He is smart enough to know my dogs can't get to him but has dug quite a few holes.
We had one last year and a neighbor managed to have-a-heart trap it and move it.
I have been told anything smelly will encourage them to move on and was told moth balls would work. Not so much. My porch smells stinky from the balls but the groundhog hasnt left. I tried soaking a rag in amonia and throwing it under and purchased some deterrent from hardware store as well.
We'll see.
I def wont use any kind of poison.
Anyone else have any solutions? He needs to go.
AC wont do anything at all to help.

Did you see the movie Caddyshack? Wasn’t that a ground hog? I think once they move in, they pretty much like to stay.:( I had a friend who tried for years to get rid of a family… they tried everything… they tried things they read about online, they had the county guy come out, had exterminators come out… nothing worked (and, like you they would not use poisons).
Personally I find them beguiling, but then, I’ve never had to live with one. Is there any way you could slap a rhinestone collar on him/her and call the creature a member of the family? :)

Me thinks I have enough hairy creatures sharing my bed already without adding anymore:)
I think Dallas would be the one that would def ensure he would not end up in our house.
I am so surprised since Dallas has the attitude of "live and let live".
He's the one who sits on the deck and looks over the fence watching the little beast.
The little bugger is pretty brazin as he comes out from the hole he's dug and suns himself on the stone flower bed.
The one remedy I purchased has some sort of pepper in it and supposedly will ensure they dont stick around. We'll see..........
I've read where they can do serious damage with all their tunneling.
I def wont put any kinda poison down so maybe I am stuck with the little bugger.
He wont travel to my one neighbors yard because they have a few jrt's.
I think I am stuck. I guess the best I could hope for is he finds a girlfriend and moves in with her and hopefully under someone else's porch. ;)

Carly looks as if she is definitely enjoying spring. Sorry about groundhog<G>
I have cottontails that appear on my front lawn sometimes and a swampy spot to side of front lawn seems to house "things". Latest is a muskrat that I've now seen 4 or 5 times. As long as he goes no further than edge of "lake Summers" I'm okay with him being around<G>

Yes, both my two are enjoying. Last evening was the first we have been able to have training class outside since probably last Oct.
The class I go to has a large training building with cement floors and I was having a heck of a time getting Carly to do her "down stays".
Our trainer assured me I wasnt working with her enough, yadda, yadda yadda and so last night the little red head was perfect on her down stays. She was def playing me all those months. :)
She is so spoiled she wasnt about to lay on cold cement but the grass must have been ok for her.
What a brat.
Now my only hope is when we do finally get ready for obed. ring, I hafta hope its warmer weather, and no cement. lol.
