Thanks Elaine for this information. It is timely as we have a club member that has some skin issues with her red boy. I'll recommend it to her...Have you tried this yourself or know anyone that has had good results with it????

This product first came to our attention because a friend (one of the local equine vets here) had a hand in developing it and another friend helped with website for the product. It is available at feed stores here and is enthusiastically recommended for all sorts of wounds. Horses are always getting a nick, scrap or sore, so most horse owners have a full selection of ointments and creams. Along with Furizone and Swat, Banixx is a “must have” in any tack box. It comes in a gel and a spray, we have both and really love the product. I used it for Claire’s wound (from her surgery) , I have used it with the horses and dogs for various nicks and scraps. It says on the label that it is not for human use, but I have used it on my sores and so have many of the people I know. In my experience it works beautifully to promote healing. I would not be without it. :)

It will be interesting to see if the ranch stores have it out here....I use the Corona salve from there for dry patches and it works extremely well.... Our club member keeps putting her boy on antibiotics and it does nothing....When we had a gal here working on the dogs structure this week she was told it was salmonella patches. I see that this lists salmonella as one of the issues it helps. I remember when you used it on Claire. It just was timely for our club member.... I hope if we can't get it here that there is a web address to get it.....She is real interested in trying it....
