All
I have noticed within the last 3-4 weeks or so Carly has a bit of dry skin just on her back. A little flakey.
About that same time (3-4 weeks ago) I gave her and Dallas a bath with a very gentle shampoo and didnt really think anything more about it.
Also, probably within the last month or so, I have been adding a little more beef to their food, which I mostly use fish and chicken. I am not sure all of this is a coincidence or not.
My two get a cooked diet, a multi vitamin and vitamin e tab as well.
Dallas gets a joint supplement.
I am unsure if its a combo of diet? maybe something with the shampoo?
Maybe because of spring?
Anyone else going thru any of this this time of year?
She has always had a very gorgeous coat and again, its only in a spot or two on her back.
I have ordered a product Athy likes from K V Vet (grizzly salmon oil) that she really likes. I'm gonna give it a try.
She isnt itching or scratching.
Thoughts?

I was going to suggest Grizzly to you. I use it and have for many years. Great stuff.
I have everyone on it. It is just part of the feeding program here. I like the joint support it gives also.
I would also incorporate eggs twice a week and some makeral or salmon once a week.
When you feed the fish skip the Grizzly
Typically dry skin starts and is treated from the inside out.

Thanks Cheryl
We already do the eggs, makeral and salmon so they are already getting that.
I do use alot of chicken as well.

Give the Grizzly a try, I think it will do the trick for you.
You said you were adding in some beef also...good idea.

Cheryl
I will keep you posted.
Dallas and Carly eat the same thing but I am not noticing and flaking on Dallas.
Hopefully the grizzly will help.
