Hey DSNN, new member here! My name is Abby and I live in St. Paul, MN. I'm a freshman in college right now so I don't have a dog of my own but I've been working with my sister's Doberman, Vegas, in obedience. Vegas and I have so far (at a year and a half old) gotten both her CGC and TDI. I've also been working with her Papillon, Willy, in conformation. Willy came to us altered, having finished his show career, but after going to a few conformation classes with the handsome boy I realized that he would really enjoy obtaining his altered UKC CH. Lately I've also been assisting a local professional handler with some of her client dogs and helping out with my local Kennel Club- basically doing everything I can to get in the show ring.

I'm hoping to learn a lot here, and looking forward to getting to know the people on this forum. In a few years with all I've been doing hopefully I will prove to be a great home for a show quality Doberman puppy. :)

Thanks for the welcome! I feel like I've done so much work just to get where I am (very few doberman people around here and it's not easy to start out) it means a lot when people assure me that I'm headed in the right direction. I'm the youngest member in my Kennel Club's history and hopefully I'll be a part of the club for a long time to come.

(also, your boy is gorgeous!)

Welcome to DSNN Abby… :) I think you’ll find we’re a pretty easy crowd to hang with. We each approach dogs a bit differently, we have differing viewpoints on issues that face breeders in 2010 (and some of us are more verbose than others. :p ) We each bring different strengths to the table here. For example, Michelle (who posts as Windance) is one of the most novel, creative and effective ad designers you’ll ever run across. And Tina, who posts as Sonquest can critique dogs as well as anyone you'll ever meet. And I may just be the biggest bitch on the planet... at least it feels like that most days, just ask Abe or Janice. :cool:

Overall, our strong underlying bond is our passion for dogs and the sport. You will fit in perfectly, most especially if you can figure out how to post photos… we love photos:rolleyes: -Elaine

Thanks everyone, I think I'll have to get to know Michelle, I'm an illustration major and right now I'm doing a series of Doberman related art, and after seeing it a rescue in the UK asked me if I could donate a design for them to sell on a t-shirt as a fundraiser. Sort of fun stuff.

Kinda like my idea of a perfect situation.......to be thin and gorgeous with a studly red male doberman at my side!! :):p;) Well, I have the studly red male doberman and that used to be the color of my hair!! :rolleyes::cool:
Please post the rest of the series. As Elaine said, we LOVE pictures!!
I'd also like to see a picture of Willie. My heart dog was a red and white Papillon named Richie!
