It's that time of year, as the National nears and lots of Dobe people are getting there ads ready for the Doberman publications. We're starting to see a flurry of ads in the more general mags too, like the lovely Dog News' cover this week of The Captain and two of his kids http://www.dognews.com/ I've seen a few ads that people are getting ready for The Doberman Pinscher Magazine http://www.dobermanpinschermagazine.com/ The creativity of some of the ads is really very very appealing..
I notice too that sometimes people get too caught up in the ad and can't see what the heck they've really done.
Here is a non-dog example... of an ad from People Magazine with Mathew McConaughey. Mr McConaughey is a very handsome man, but someone somewhere somehow failed to notice they'd made his head freakishly large (at least to my eye). The People ad is to the far left. I took the photo to Photoshop and spent a few mnutes playing with it.. so that the proportions look a bit more normal to me (the middle photo) and put them side by side for comparison (far right). I may have mde his head too small... but the original ad looks way out of proportion by comparison.
