As DPCA members know, there has been some discussion on DPCA Online about getting our dogs from the Airport to the show site for the 2008 National.
Leslie Reeves Hunt suggested that we speak with the Great Dane folks, who have used the site for their National. So I contacted Lourdes Carvajal who was involved with putting on the Great Dane Club of Americas National as the Chair of GDCof A National Specialty Midwest Division

The Topekaīs Expo Center and Capitol Plaza Hotel is the most magnificent place that anybody could hope for a large Breed National Specialty. I can testify to that.
To my knowledge there were no Great Danes flown in. Your closest airport is Kansas City International, so you either rent a car or inquire about a shuttle that will take dogs. The distance from the Missouri Airport to Topeka is approximately 50 miles.
Motor home with electric and water is available through the Kansas ExpoCenter (the show site in the Hotel grounds), they also have a dumping area. The daily fee for RVīs is quite minimal, but it depends what the DPCA arranged with them.
