I friend sent me this ... I started to read it, but the tone was sickening.... and then I scanned the length of it and noticed that it just went on and on and on and on forever. Amazing... such venom. I gotta ask you, who on earth has the time to write stuff like this? And so much of it.... does this woman ever sleep? The laundry must be piling up... feet need scrapping... the kettle’s boiling over. It’s so frickin long, it won’t even fit in one post, it has to be continued in four posts below. I’m not encouraging any of you to read this baloney... just look at the sheer length of it.

Athy, your request for additional space to tell some more of your "side" of the story on the Cyberdobes website (where you would "never ask for anything") has been duly noted.

May I ask, please, where I can find THE REST OF THE STORY as it pertains to DPCA/Alla and Stella vs DARE on one of YOUR many sites? Isn't turnabout fair play?

You want, demand and expect from me - and holler at the top of your lungs if we don't comply (while never asking directly, of course!) - but stop wayyyyyyyy short of giving the same in return, AFTER insisting you'd never "supplicate" yourself to me or CD. You think that's lost on people, Athy?

I'm not going to play these games with you any longer. Been there/done that - and while I was trying my best to be accommodating, you were blasting me to others (Vic Monteleon for example) and telling me privately to "get over yourself" while wishing me a good day publicly. For those of you who don't know - some years ago, when CD was located on another server, we had problems off and on with Yahoo addresses. I announced it many times - but Athy saw her opportunity and went crying to Vic about how we "kicked her off" CD without warning. Vic? Like...ummm. ...why? He thought it was pretty funny particularly since Athy NEVER said a word to me or Tammy about the problems she was having. The same problems lots of Yahoo people were having - which helped us decide to change servers not long after that incident.

So anyways - here's one of the philosphies I live by:

I'm way past " twice" with you, Athy (as are many others) - and I KNOW the drill better than most. Many times over the last few years, because I won't let you get away with this kind of crap, you've gone out in cyberspace using multiple lists where you know I don't belong - and told people who know NOTHING about me, that I'm "anti-rescue" (among other things!). You'd have been better off saying I was old, fat and broken and my Mother dressed me funny - I wouldn't like it much -- but hey, it's the truth, so I would have shrugged it off and moved on. But "anti- rescue"? On a rescue list where people don't know me or "of" me? Do you have any idea how foolish you look saying such a thing? I've raised LITERALLY thousands of dollars for rescue over the years, and just as important - I've worked hard to make people aware that rescue matters and we can't turn our backs on those dogs just because they aren't always pretty...and I was doing it long before anyone knew the name
Athy Conigliaro, or ever heard the word DARE. I was "out there", dear heart. Doing it for them. Even when I didn't have "them" anymore. And most of the Doberman world is well aware of that fact. Even "mine enemies". Did you think just by crowing that I was "anti rescue" - everything I've ever done here would just disappear? As if it never existed? What is the MATTER with you, woman???

Interestingly enough, B/A (Before Athy), my good works were appreciated. ..I never had to defend the fact that even though I don't have a Doberman anymore - I STILL CARE ENOUGH TO GIVE MY VERY BEST. Nobody ever said I was "anti-rescue" when I was hittin' up everybody in sight for money or writing articles about the ongoing need. Before Athy, I gave - "they" accepted - and dogs benefitted.

How many other rescue organizations do you know of out there, who - in ten years of existence, have the reputation you YOURSELF have created for DARE? For every dog you've saved over the years - and God knows, I don't begrudge you that.... but honestly now, Athy - how many others have paid the freight for your trip down Glory Road? Do we count the 23+ animals being "fostered" at Theresa Wilds' house while you and Sharon covered it up, protected her and lied for her - KNOWING FULL WELL WHAT WAS GOING ON IN THAT HOUSE??? What about the dogs at the Buckeyestown facility? The ones that quite suddenly either got "adopted" or went into real foster homes - after the pictures of them appeared on Cyberdobes? They came INTO rescue looking better than they did after 3 months at the dog warehouse. Yes, I know - you and yours blamed their sad and pathetic decline on Dobermans not doing well in a kennel facility. Hungry, starving Dobermans who've been neglected, abandoned and
abused - are happy to go anywhere and eat, Athy and if they get the proper amount of food, they gain weight. Don't you watch ANIMAL COPS?

And how about poor, sad Stella - what excuse can you offer up for trying to place her PERMANENTLY with a woman who so obviously just could not accommodate her basic needs? AFTER YOU'D TAKEN HER AWAY FROM THE SAME PERSON because of all the complaining? Because one of your guys did a home inspection and her report essentially said "this ain't workin'!"?

Just when we thought it couldn't get any worse - Alla stepped up to the plate and was left holding a bag. WHY? Athy? WHY? How could anyone, in good conscience, claiming to have the welfare of the animals at heart - be party to the things we know happened here with Stella and Alla - and ALL ON YOUR WATCH?

You just never know when to quit - to back off - to exit gracefully. You'd rather drag honest, caring, committed people through the mud to prove some inane point, or, more likely, to keep that iron fist known as CONTROL wrapped so tightly around everyone's throat that the mere act of breathing is difficult. If they attempt to think for themselves, your reaction is to squeeze harder and/or change the rules, and/or insist you're the victim, wrongly being "attacked" - a word I've come to associate almost 100% with you and for that reason, I HATE it. I hate your selective and self serving use of the word....it sucks rocks in a big way. Drama. It's all about DRAMA. How much attention would you get if you stated the facts in evidence - i.e. - Rescue Group Has Internal Disagreement - as opposed to RESCUE UNDER ATTACK. What a crock of (surprise) self-serving bullshit - meant to inflame and enrage and grab the sympathy vote at the expense of the truth, good people and
innocent animals! In your mind, a tried and true formula. The only formula for you.

What you did to RoseAnne Fierro all those years ago has now been completely exposed with the DPCA BoD's decision to "rescind the reprimand" in 2006 (I think), followed by Keith Russell's statement to the General Membership meeting that same year which praised the Board for that action. What you did to RoseAnne all those years ago - and thought you got away with - is the same damned thing you've done here to Alla. I'm afraid to ask, Athy but I must: WHO'S NEXT?

Keith Russell, in case you don't remember, was the Head of Investigations at AKC during the Theresa Wilds Fiasco and was not able to comment on the case or events - until just recently, after he retired. You know, Athy - at any time - you could have been brave and courageous - mitigating the wrong you did - just by saying "Damn! I made a mistake - I was stupid! And I'm sorry". You'd have had all of us by the short hairs, eating out of your hand - from that moment on...but OHHHHHHHHH NOOOOOO. Nope. You couldn't do that - even in the face of a pile of evidence that countered every one of your sick lies. Instead, even after Keith stood up and told us all the things he'd seen as head investigator in the Wilds case - you had to make just one more call to him after the National. One more time you thought it was wise to threaten a lawsuit because he stated the facts and they weren't favorable to you, Sharon Hildebrand, Theresa Wilds or DARE. I know you made that
call, Athy - because Keith told me. Did you seriously think you could EVER intimidate someone with his morals and ethics? That's the thing with honorable people, Athy - it's damned hard to scare them with your kind of BS. Or hadn't you noticed that over many years and several very public attempts involving people of the same calibur as Keith Russell, RoseAnne Fierro and Alla McGeary?

And now, even after your own people - sent to Danoff's house at your behest - TOLD YOU THE PLACEMENT FOR STELLA WAS INAPPROPRIATE - and Alla let you know how wrong she felt a return to Danoff would be when you did the 360* Dance after you asked Alla to take Stella - you just can't stand it. Even after the grievance was filed, and sustained - and DARE was removed from the DPCA subsidy program...again, ON YOUR WATCH - you STILL can't admit any wrong doing whatsoever. It's been over a year since Stella's has been placed in a new and I'm sure, lovingly appropriate home...and you'd take her out of that, right here and right now - to prove your point, win the argument, keep your silly badge in place....strut down the street like the Emperor in his new clothes. God, but you are really something...

And you want us to believe this is about the welfare of that dog? I don't see it, girl. What I see is vindictiveness - plain and simple. Nothing more or less. Rather than pull over and examine your motives and perhaps, just plain BACK OFF for the sake of a dog who's been in her forever home for over a year now, bury the hatchett with Alla and let Alla live in peace for caring....you' d rather take this to the Supreme Court and back on the off chance you will either be able to beat Alla into submission or, in lieu of that, you can teach her [and maybe others!] a serious lesson and if her life is destroyed in the process - so be it. Jesus, Athy - she's 61 years old, and you've filed criminal felony charges against her...for stealing a dog who's "value" would be in the negative column in anybody's book...all to prove a the only point that matters to you: YOU'RE THE BOSS.

Sixty one years old and she's never been arrested, she's self supporting, she's the sole caregiver for her infirm 80+ year old Mother and her other rescued animals. Her time in rescue has been exemplary and WITHOUT INCIDENT - until she came in contact with YOU. Until she wouldn't lay down and play dead for you...until she wouldn't dance to your tune....and largely because you tried to change the music in the middle of the waltz!!!

Does this sound familiar to you, Athy? Does it ring a bell? It should - it's much the same thing you did to Rose Anne Fierro all those years ago....and when that one got away from you at the end when the facts went public, you finished off by filing a grievance against RoseAnne - adjudicated by Sharon's friends....one of THE most shameful moments in DPCA history. The Maryland SPCA gives RoseAnne Fierro an award for saving lives and the DPCA reprimands her for being the "cause" of dogs dying - a charge you knew was NOT true when you made it! A charge that could have been disproved at RoseAnne's "hearing" if they would have allowed her to present the ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS she brought with her, from Maryland's SPCA Director. No dogs ever died as a result of anything Rose Anne Fierro did - and YOU KNEW IT - but you let her swing...for six years that hung over her head even though the proof was right there. Isn't that right, Athy? I've still got the paperwork - and I know
the truth - just like you did - all along. Who ever heard of a "hearing" where the ORIGINAL NOTARIZED DOCUMENTS weren't accepted into evidence? I guess one where the "plaintiff" has good friends presiding and they decide only COPIES will do and they don't even bother to tell the defendant before she makes her 1,000 mile (?) flight from New York to Florida to meet with those fine upstanding citizens representing Sharon and Athy....

You like to do this "red herring" thing - where you throw a bone in the mix that will take the heat off of you....with help from your pals, you mount an assault designed to get people focused on some minor, insignificant point you can yammer about while what REALLY matters takes a back seat and is drowned out by the foot stomping and back-and-forth screeching about NOTHING.

If that doesn't work - then let's do the "word play" game - where you change the obvious meaning of what you said a minute ago - to suit a new situation now. A classic example is the post you made about CD here initally. And then the next day, it's all twisted around...."I never said that" - but Athy - YOU DID. Yes, dear, YOU DID. One minute, you won't "supplicate" yourself to me - or ask anything of CD...but five minutes later, you're singing a new tune: "yeah man, put up our nine hundred pictures and all of this extraneous crapola...." I remember some other pictures, Athy - do you? I remember when the AKC Investigator went out to Theresa Wilds' home - and took SEVENTY EIGHT pictures of the place, the dogs and the conditions they were living in....and NOT A ONE OF THEM matched up to the pictures you and your people put up on a website, claiming it was the Wilds' home. Not a one. Hmmmm.

What truly amazes me about you - is that no matter what facts pop up in any of these little messes you're constantly creating by insisting on exercsing complete dominance over everyone at all times - is that you STILL deny their validity. That one, boy - leaves me pretty close to speechless and drooling on myself...truly, it does. Or hey, how's about you always have a "reason" why FACTS IN EVIDENCE aren't important. Or you've got some pretty pictures and paragraphs out the wazoo showing why - insisting why - everyone but YOU is lying. All other evidence is tainted - or offered up by conspirators out to get you. And if nobody buys into that - well - hells bells - you'll just gather the troops (dwindling in numbers) and re-write the "rule book" - in between some of the most obvious and completely ridiculous "spin doctoring" at warp speed, anywhere and everywhere available to you - that I've ever seen. I can think of a couple of Presidental candidates who need your
talent....LOL

It doesn't seem to matter one iota that YOU and your approach to people who question or disagree with your take on something - has cost legitimate rescue in ways I can't begin to measure. Long term. Large scale. You're out there banging the drum - non-stop - adding to the rules, re-writing the CoE to suit your needs, "firing" volunteers, writing virtual WAR and PEACE novellas about how and why it must be done your way....how and why volunteers must sign in blood or be cast aside...with room for any kind of free thinking outside of YOUR box, forbidden. If you don't "fire" your volunteers, you end up driving them off with demands for loyalty to the death....IT' S A RESCUE ORGANIZATION, ATHY...it's not the CIA! And guess what? Loyalty is something you EARN...like respect. You can't force people to give either of those gifts...no matter what you threaten!

That "long term" and "large scale" damage rescue has sustained in recent years - damn, Athy - if for no other reason - that and that alone should make you throw on the brakes and say NO MORE. The buck stops here.

I remember when you told everybody you were prepared to accept the decision handed down by the DPCA Board with regard to the grievance against DARE. For a minute there, I thought, "well, maybe she's turned over a new leaf"...but it wasn't long after the that announcement that you started in - throwing out those subtle little barbs, which quickly escalated into outright "attacks" on those involved in the DPCA and its rescue committee.

I was ON BOARD for so many of your posts back when you had free reign on several lists and obviously didn't give a rats patootie one way or another about whether what you were saying and doing, might HURT the whole rescue concept. As long as you got your digs in - your "revenge" - everything and everyone else was just COLLATERAL DAMAGE. Acceptable (to you) collateral damage.

You may truly care about the dogs, there, Athy - I don't know for sure one way or another because it's just damned hard to tell by what your words AND actions. I've been watching the side show for years now - and I've come to the conclusion that if you do care about the animals, you often care MORE about being in control and having things go your way at all costs...and there is no mountain you won't climb to assure that end result. Everyone is expendable. And while you're actively engaged in ruining the life of a woman in her 60's who's only crime here was standing up for a dog you were prepared to send back to a home DARE deemed INAPPROPRIATE, you do so by hiding behind the dogs you've helped rescue. Your ticket to legitmacy. Your means to an end. Your ticket to ride. Your stage for the concert. The dogs. DO YOU SERIOUSLY THINK IF YOU PREVAIL IN THIS CASE, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO HOLD YOUR HEAD UP HIGH AMONGST DOBERMAN PEOPLE???? Be careful what you wish for,
Athy....my guess is, they aren't going to welcome you home from any victory here with open arms...No sirreee, they aren't. And if you don't "get that" pretty quick here....I wouldn't want to be you when all is said and done. 30 Something Years In The Breed: I know these people like I know the back of my hand.

If the dogs really mattered, Athy....you' d stop this foolishness and get on with doing the right things by them. Right here - right now. You'd end this madness and you'd let Alla be; you'd encourage your guys to think for themselves and to play nice with others. You'd welcome dedicated, committed volunteers who WON'T sell the Stella's of the world down the river for any reason....none at all. You'd be delighted with new blood in the organization - and people who weren't afraid to stand up to you...you'd champion those people as if they were made of solid gold, rather than go to the extreme you did with both RoseAnne and Alla...to drive home your stupid, petty, ridiculous, expensive point. And believe me, Athy - this was never about anything else. It sure as Hell wasn't about what was best for Stella...or DARE....or legitimate rescue. Any reasonably intelligent, caring animal lover can see that. I wonder why it is you either CAN'T - or WON'T?

I'm sure you have your followers - but their numbers are dwindling. I'm sure you still have a few willing "ears" here and there these days too. But I have NO DOUBTS that in your zeal to maintain dominion at all costs over everyone and everything for years now...lots and lots of people who know 2 + 2 = 4, aren't buying into your balogney anymore. THEY CAN'T. Thinking people without agendas - who just tune in and read the documentation - and listen to you talk - and play the circle game - and throw in the red herring - and point your finger at someone else - and insist a person like Alla who's spent probably 40 of her 61 years GIVING to less fortunates must be punished for breaking some cardinal rule - because she's certainly NEVER hurt an animal and never turned her back on one. Yet, in your mind, she's a prime candidate for a jail sentence here! A FELONY conviction over a RESCUE DOG NOBODY WANTED - AND NOBODY WOULD LIKELY PAY A DIME FOR!!!

God, Athy - how do you sleep at night? And please - spare us the business about how this is the decision of the DARE Board...you, of course, had nothing to do with any of it. LOL LOL

You showed us what and who you are - and now, WE BELIEVE. You have only yourself to blame for WHAT we believe, Athy...it was always something 100% within your reach to shape and change into something you could truly be proud of...instead, your legacy here will be one of shame and ridicule - which in my opinion, you so richly deserve.

DARE is up on the Cyberdobes website, filed away on the HALL OF SHAME page WHERE IT BELONGS. In fact, I think we still have some pictures of the dogs you "rescued" and kept at the Buckeyestown "warehouse" facility too, who, as I noted earlier, MIRACLE OF MIRACLES, once those shots appeared on CD, after months of languishing - those "lucky" dogs finally got into "foster care" or "were adopted".... yes, yes - according to you, because all the DARE "malcontents" left the club. Timing is everything, ain't it, Athy?

Whatever is up on the CD website now concerning DARE, is NOT there because you made it available to us...it's there because I hunted it down and shared it so people could see your response and your "side" of this sad, sad story. Despite claims to the contrary that I only put up things "for" Alla - I did the right thing and included your bullshit too. Apparently that isn't good enough now...you want more. All that paperwork - all those scans - all those pictures of who knows what...all your blah blah blah crap....you want me to put it up for you now - so we can start the game all over again. However, I see no offer from you to do the same for me on your sites...LOL Did it NOT occur to you? To offer? LOL LOL

You know, Athy - seven thousand pages of you and your guys saying whatever, will NEVER erase the bare facts in this case. So let's just stick to reality for a change:

1. Danoff had Stella for quite awhile as a "foster" and in that time, complained regularly to DARE about her temperament and Danoff's inability to even house break the dog. Documented in her own words.

2. Danoff lives in a 3 story house with hard wood floors...a surface Stella, according to Danoff herself, had trouble manuevering. She indicated Stella sometimes "fell down". Documented by her own words.

3. Danoff didn't want her to have the surgery to remove her lobster foot and agreed to make a brace for it and to do "rehab" with her instead. Neither of those things ever happened. I presume "Charles Danoff", the Lab with the same deformity, would have been Danoff's trump card for convincing DARE she could handle Stella - but obviously, that wasn't the case. Documented. In her own words.

4. With the number of animals in Danoff's care while Stella was there - some with special needs - and a regular schedule that barely permitted her to meet with DARE's own representative in response to ongoing complaints about her foster dog, is it any wonder Stella didn't "thrive" while she lived with Danoff? Documented in her own words.

5. A vet who tells you she doens't know how to feed a growing Doberman puppy? And the puppy isn't then IMMEDIATELY removed from her care by the organizatiion that put her there? What's up with that, Athy? An eight year old can be trusted to feed a dog with a little guidance...yet this college educated, licensed veterinarian has a skinny puppy bitch on her hands and dismisses that little problem by saying she "doesn't know how to feed a Doberman puppy"? Or the puppy was "high energy"? [So you give them more food.....DUH] . Documented in her own words.

6. You send your representative out there to determine what exactly was going on after Danoff continued to bitch about her foster dog...and that person wrote a reprort that said the placement was INAPPROPRIATE FOR STELLA. She said the only reason to leave the dog with Kim Danoff would be because NO OTHER HOME WOULD BE AVAILABLE TO A DOG WITH SUCH SEVERE PROBLEMS. Documented - in the words of Barbara Johnson, DARE Home Evaluator.

7. You took her away from Danoff (although now you claim she actually adopted her!) and put her with Alla...was that because you didn't trust Alla? Was it because, in your opinion, that 61 year old woman was a criminal? Might turn into one? Or did you place Stella with Alla because you knew she'd get the job done for the dog? Documented.. ....

8.In spite of your protests to the contrary, I think I'm going to believe the volunteers who were either driven out, or left your organization in disgust, when they tell us it was DARE's policy [as it is with many legitimate rescues] to respect the input of the foster home when it comes to final adoption of an animal. Alla was floored that after taking Stella away from Danoff, you did the 360 Dance and asked for her return so you could put her back with the very individual who had her for months and could not train her to take her business outside! Could not train her to stop jumping on and nipping people! Didn't know how to feed her enough to keep her in good weight! You wanted Alla's approval to put this poor damned dog back in a home where the foster did nothing with her - except BITCH AND MOAN!!! Documented - DPCA Grievance paperwork.

9. When Alla didn't jump to your tune - you sunk to one of the lowest levels of vindictiveness I've ever seen or heard of "in dogs"...(with the exceptioin of your part in the Theresa Wilds Fiasco): you decided to file CRIMINAL CHARGES against the person you chose to foster a dog NOBODY ELSE WANTED. A dog who's financial value, given her problems - both physical and mental - would have to be somewhere in the negative column IF YOU WERE BEING HONEST, ATHY. If that whole concept weren't so foreign to you - you'd admit that ANY rescue would be hard pressed to find SOMEONE SUITABLE to adopt a dog with Stella's physical problems - compounded by her behavioral issues....things a licensed veterinarian admitted she could not deal with, in spite of her expertise and education - during the entire time the bitch lived with her. DOCUMENTED. Here, there, everywhere.

So you just head on there, Athy - and try making some big deal out of the fact that what we have up on the CD website about DARE, isn't to your satisfaction. You work on that a bit and see if, in comparison to what we all know happened with Stella, Alla and your organization - you can drum up anybody out there who'll feel ever-so-sorry for the way you've been mistreated and mishandled at Cyberdobes.

And don't bother with the threats to sue, yet AGAIN, dear. I have an attorney - you know who he is - and he will be glad to accept service on my behalf, anytime. He always tells me - the people who are going to sue? They don't warn you ahead of time...they just do it. He also tells me you can sue the Pope for being Catholic if you so desire and the respondent must reply. Let me tell you - if it ever comes to that between you and me or any of your buddies, I will depose every one from Keith Russell to George Whiting and back again - and when I'm done, I'll share it with the world, exposing you in ways you can only have nightmares about right now.

So in closing, let me tell you straight up -- PAPER TIGERS DON'T SCARE ME. I don't run from them - I don't hide. I meet them head on and rip them to shreds because to do anything else - well, you know: silence is permission and I don't give mine.
