As a breeder, each and every dog produced is special in one way or the other, sometimes it’s simply because they took a bit more of our time, sometimes it's because of some mannerism or personality trait that touches our heart, but there is always that one thing that makes each individual a bit special . We breed very few litters, less than half a dozen in 30 years... they are all special, but there have been a few dogs that really stand out. One is Ch. Logres’ Tungsten. It's fair to say that Tungsten is a good Doberman, at least in general terms we think of when we think of good Dobermans, i.e., he is a great companion with a loving rock solid temperament, he has good breed type, finished in four weekends... he is the sire of our Lil’ Claire (who, though not a show dog, is special in her own right). Those all lovely accolades, but for me, the photos below show an aspect of how special Tungsten is that is almost impossible to convey in words.

Brenna (T’s new co-owner) works with the hearing impaired. In these photos T is saying good-bye to a group of students that Brenna works with. One student in particular was reluctant to say good-bye to T... these photos tap into something that is so profoundly beautiful about our breed and about Tungsten... just wanted to share them.

Brenna has about a dozen more photos that she sent us in a MSN Photo Email file... maybe she can share them...:)

What a super, super dog. For canine or human, it's wonderful when you find your true calling and clearly Tungsten has found his purpose in life :)

The love and understanding conveyed by Tungsten in those pictures is priceless!! :) There is a prayer that says "Let my heart be touched by the things that touch the heart of God". Tungsten must have prayed that prayer cuz he sure seems to always know who most needs his attention! :):):)
Once again Brenna, you and T have made the "family" proud!
And please, keep the photos coming! :D:D

Love the little prayer Tina....To watch a special dog work, like Tungston can bring tears to one. It is a gift they have that is sometimes hard to expain. I had Anya to the VA Hospital Thurs and there were two particular patients that Anya was outstanding with. The director of the program could not believe the intuition she had and how she handled them. These dogs are special and not all therapy dogs have that type of intuition. He said he likes to watch Anya work since she is the best one he has with the patients. These dogs with the gift are good ambassadors for the breed and they win over a lot of hearts.

I have a feeling that the boy in the photo went home several times and begged his parents for a doberman! It amazes me that something so simple as a dog can bring so much joy to people. I know our dogs have brought much happiness into our life. Different breeds have different personalities, but they all seem to have one thing in common. They just want to love you!

Brenna, kudos to you and Tungsten for the wonderful work you are both doing. The pictures reflect the love that Tungsten has to give to these "special" children and the lessons to be learned from him.

Some of you may know the story of a girl who wrote a story about Super Tito Burrito. Her name is Teyanna, and I will only say that she needs our prayers. Tungsten has hanged her life, and many others. Incidentally, I once asked Max if he wanted a doberman. His reply,"I've never thought of asking for two copies of my best friend, but I suppose it could be cool!". It's all in the perspective I guess. Attached are some pics.

Tungsten would be nothing without Elaine1 and Arthur. My gratitude to them is beyond words, and what T and I do we do in their names, since they entrusted Tungsten to me. It is simply my job to share him when I can, and he helps me do just that. Thank you Elaine and Arthur. And you know that you have touched God's heart....the fingerprint looks EXACTLY like Tungsten.
