Without any question, we live in an increasingly litigious society. When someone wrongs you, it is simply not possible to settle things by calling them out into the street at high noon for a shoot out. Our civilized society long ago recognized that redress of grievances through the judicial process was preferable to a public blood bath. As a society, we formulated laws, which are intended to promote social order and that intangible concept - justice.
Somehow the legal system has strayed from society’s objective. Seems that judges and attorneys think the our laws are merely a way for them to make a living, at the expense of the rest of us. Over the years we have seen incompetence, malpractice, misconduct, cronyism, and a host of other shenanigans in the judicial system that should be brought forward into the bright cleansing light of day.
Americans have choices; we can choose attorneys based upon their track records; and, since many judges are elected officials, we can track their job performance and vote accordingly.
This is a place to share experiences with the law, lawyers and the legal system, both positive and negative...
