Ch. Trotyl de Black Shadow is ALIVE and WELL

Heard a rumor this morning... that Trotyl had died... and Jim and Ron had canceled all his breeding contracts. Generally I ignore these kinds of rumors, but we have a vested interest in this one, having bred to Trotyl twice.

So I contacted Jim and Ron. Trotyl is alive and well, with an impressive array of bitches lined up waiting to breed to him. So, this rumor is false.

Kind of like all the rumors about Inaqui being dead. Gotta wonder how some of these things get started.

Do people really have nothing better to do than sit around & think of rumors to spead about winning dogs? LOL, that is pathetic!

I think some rumors are started by people who simply want to make trouble for others, or are too stupid to know that what they’re repeating is garbage.

But some of these rumors have a grain of truth... and people pass them on thinking they are true. Sometimes they grow from a kernel of truth (possibly on bitch that was going to be bred to Trotyl is now not going to be bred to him... and that somehow snowballed to, "He's dead and they've cancelled all his breedings." :rolleyes:

In general I see nothing wrong with openly saying, “Hey, here’s a rumor going round, is it true?" Get's it out in the open, where it can be discussed and extinguished. In this instance, someone credible had heard this rumor at a dog show, from a reputable person who actually thought it was true... so they called me to ask, because we’ve bred to Trotyl. I had no problem contacting Jim and Ron... both had no problem saying, “Nope, he’s not dead, in fact, he’s alive and well and sitting right here by my side.” :) We have an interest in seeing this rumor put to rest.

Might be nice to have a place to simply dispel rumors... maybe something like a discussion forum... maybe something about Dogs, Dog Shows ... a News Network for Dogs.... Dog Show News Network... DSNN ... now there's a thought. :) :):)
