Don't know if you've noticed, but we're about to have our 100th DSNN member... that's a milestone we didn't expect to reach quite so soon... we're thrilled. :):) Should we have a special surprise for the 100th member? :):):) If so, what should it be?

That could depend on the breed or the interest...how about a picture that could be at the top of the screen when others log on...a dog pic or a human...we all LOVE pics...although in my case my dog is far more photogenic....as it should be...(kidding.. not really my dog)

Since I am the 100th member of DSNN I thought you should all know a little about me. First and foremost, you all should know that I’m fabulous :D and a mass of contradictions :p and, I can’t describe myself because I’m not objective.
We own a dog, Domino, a black and white bundle of energy who is cute as can be, and at times annoying. Domino is a Shep-a-doodle, German Sheppard - Standard Poodle mix we bought for $700. He actually is what the mix was advertised to be. He doesn’t shed much, he is protective of the kids, maybe a bit hyper at times, but we love him.
I’ve known Elaine since my husband Eric was a classmate of Arthur’s in medical school. You all probably know her in the context of dogs, I know her as a wife and dear friend. We’ve been through the wars together, literally and figuratively. I’m now a single mother of two, in college, and happy to be joining this merry DSNN group. Forgive me if I have an unsophisticated approach to dogs, to me they are simply loved companions.

:D:D:D:D
Coralie is 8 years younger than I am... but I call her "Mom." :p Years ago we were in line at a Home Goods store, and the clerk asked Coralie if I was her daughter... we both about fell on the floor laughing... I still call her "mom" to this day. But truth be told, Coralie has more strength and courage than any 10 people I know... it is a honor to be compared to her in any manner.

Actually, I'm probably more of a pea in E2's pod... but Coralie and I are close and share a history. She can tell you that I use the fire alarm as a food timer... and I can tell you that she has a tatoo and spends more time in church than I do... in part because she is praying for my immortal soul. :D And that, a bit late in life, because of going back to school and other life changes, she is in touch with a powerful and very genuine voice as a writer... she has something worth saying and the experience to make the point with. We were talking this morning of book that should be written... about men, from a woman's perspective... sort of a survival guide. And she wants me to publish Elaine's Rude Writing For Odd Occasions... a private joke, because I was always the "go to" person in our group for writing the hard to write letter... this was Coralie and the family, in our home, back when ... I think maybe 2002.

Hi Coralie
Elaine has probably told you I'm one of the Canucks on the list and am mom to Wei whom Elaine is kindly contending with for a while.
Welcome aboard!! Got to make one point. Show dogs are loved family members too <G>

Sorry, my mistake. Before I met Elaine and Arthur and got to know Liz and Cartier I believed the stereotype that show dogs were treated differently, but I realize it's not accurate. I just slipped back into a bad habit. :)
