I'd like to pause for a moment and think about those people who take time, often lots of it, out of their busy days, to help people and connect people. Who comes to mind immediately? Elaine1. For those of you that know her, she's a very busy person, with a lot on her plate right now. I include her in my prayers daily because she has reached out to so many of us without asking for anything in return. Case in point: this website. Further, she's a great advocate, and mentor, and a good soul to boot. She blessed me with Tungsten, advised me with Muse, and then, to send Wahajama...over the top. She has great words of wisdom, and a quick wit, that makes things come into perspective. I'd just like to say, for all of you have been mentors, thank you. For all that will be someday, thank you. For all who have not yet found one...look harder. It's a life changing experience. Thanks Eraine and Arfur! Thanks:D

and in one picture, T sends a kiss. How do you get Dobe spit off a camera lens?

Brenna I'd like to second that (all that you said about E1!) :D
Likewise, she advised me on Bindi and then agreed to co-own Contender. If I had any more room, I'd be begging for a very special boy she has right now!! :p:p Elaine is all that you said and best of all a friend!! :) When you acquire a dog from her, you become "family" and it just doesn't get better than that!! ;)
KUDOS to all out there who are mentors and friends! We NEED you!! :)

Tina

p.s. Please give Wah a kiss from me. I got to spend some unexpected time with her in NJ! She was in prime season and Kelly thought it best if she spend the weekend somewhere other than in the motorhome full of boys.... so Contender went to Kelly's motohome and Wah came with me and E2 cuz E1 was still enroute!
Wah was very sweet but I hope Elaine remembered to tell you to keep her away from E2's homemade caramel brownies!!:p:p
Kidding aside, I'm really glad that she has found her forever Mom in you!! :D

she's got to watch her girlish figure....so she's backed off of the haagen dawgz and is earing sorbet....strawberry is her fav so far...:D
And I second that comment about we need mentors. There's soooo many people who forget this is a community not a gladiator arena. It's nice to see people at shows or kennel club meetings or matches, and actually WANT to go say hello. I like standing in the ring with my beautiful dog babies, and turning back to the newbie with the bouncing bernese and telling him (a total stranger) that his pup is beautiful and full of joy. You can just see the person light up and see why we love this sport sooo very much! Thanks for the support Sonquest...and if you see those brownies, address them to me and I'll be sure they get to Wah...at least some of it...yummy...ahem...

Thank you, but it's you people make this so worth while, so it's really Arthur and I that are indebted to you. :)

And about Wah and the caramel brownies... they were E2's recipe... and her reaction to the Wah ~ Brownie thing was worth its weight in gold. :D:D:D:D

I have several that jump readily to mind in my life, with horses, dogs and in my career now and before.
It is strange sometimes where they turn up and how they show themselves.
What I am grateful for is that they do turn up and they do reach out and they come in many shapes and sizes! I call it "eating from the buffet of life".

So...thank you to all of you and Elaine...again....remember...we are just an email or call away.

Thank you!!
Cheryl

Ps..Brenna...I thought my post made it, but maybe not.....Congrats and Welcome Litter 1 !!!!!
Vaako sends a high paw t his sister Wah!
