Here's a picture of my darling Rhonda who just left me two weeks ago. She was a major grinner - she was much younger in this photo, probably 6 years old. I would tell her to "say cheese" and this is what she'd do :)

I love her and I miss her.

Obviously we can't enter this contest... but I love this photo of Ahb... the look on her face... priceless!!!
Ahb is Logres’ Brentina. The photo could be captioned, “A third breeding, you’re out of your frickin mind!”

On a previous thread E1 mentioned PETS (People for the Ethical Treatment os Sheep). My comment was BAAAAAA means NO!. Here's proof...my old dog Maxim trying to herd sheep. He had them facing the fence with their hooves held high above their heads...well, except one.....:cool::D

Here's a real glamour puss with a rags to riches story to boot! Lily was a foster of mine from some years back. She was a brood bitch from one of the albino greeders on the eastern shore of Maryland. After spending the first three years of her life pumping out puppies (oh yeah, those albinos are real rare - not!), she came to DAR&E a rack of bones, scared to death, totally unsocialized. She slunk around the edges of the rooms in the house for weeks. I was afraid that we would never bring her back to normal dogness.

Well, after a couple of months of work, the real Lily began to emerge. She was a huge goofball - loved to snuggle, loved to play and was just a happy little girl. But she needed a home of her own!

Many folks came to meet Lily but it never quite clicked. She lived with me for eleven months. Then one day, a young couple with two beautiful black Dobergirls came to visit. Lily fell in love with the entire pack, especially the husband. She could not stop kissing him (I often wondered if he'd shaved in bacon grease that morning...)

After an hour or so of kissing and visiting, they decided to take Lily home with them. When they all left the house to put their girls in the van, Lily became upset and agitated, she spun around by the door and barked. When they came back, she was all happy wiggles - she knew they were HER PACK.

Lily lived happily with the two Dobergirls and the young couple for five years. Sadly, cardio took Lily several months ago. They sent me photos and emails, filled with sorrow. The pack is poorer for the loss of that albino brood bitch that got thrown away when she "couldn't get took no more".

I was always glad I had a chance to meet and know Lily. She was a great gal who was taken advantage of because of her lack of color. Albinos are NOT rare, the people who breed them pump them out as fast as they can and take advantage of an unsuspecting public that believes them to be precious. I would urge any visiting guests here at DSNN to check out Dr. Ione Smith's excellent and informative page about albinism in the Doberman:

http://whitedobes.doberinfo.com/

Off my anti-albino soapbox for now ;) This is Lily without her glamour gear - I think of her often. Please enjoy Lily's photo!

I think the one of Brentina is hysterical! Her son, Vaako , has a very simliar look when Emma backs him off! It must run in the family...LOL!

Must run in the family, E2 says Q does the same thing. Whenever Ahb (Brentina) is annoyed, she finds a corner to sit... in this instance she did not want her photo taken... when she saw the camera, she went and sat in the corner... pissed. But with the look on her face, do I really have to tell anyone that she's pissed? One photo, worth 1000 words. :D:D:D

These two, Wahajama and Muse actually are the best of friends. Occasionally, they have this discussion..."If it's in MY MOUTH, it's MINE!!!":D
But sometimes it's still fun to try and get away with it...

Tina,

I have no idea what you are talking about!......UNLESS.....You are referring to the both of them laying in the recliner one on top of the other (usually Titus gets to be on top!) laying flat on their backs, snoring, as the television (surround sound) is blaring so loud I can hear it in the front yard....Yes, I guess that would make a pretty picture!!!
