We love so many things about Rogan, but then, his dam Ch. Orion's Rasberry Beret is also the dam of our foundation bitch Lizabeth (a.k.a Cambria's Irish Rose), so, it only makes sense that we're drawn to Rogan. :):):) Lovely boy. This is really tipping the scales in favor of us considering breeding Brentina (our only Lizabeth daughter), ... only this time we'd like to do a line breeding to her side of the pedigree. And I think we may have found an ideal the sire /pedigree.;):)

OK, inquiring minds NEED to know!!! :p:p
Who is the CHOSEN one????

While ordinarily I would take your post to mean you were referring to Rogan, I know you said you wanted a BLACK linebred dog.

Have you found one?? I know they are rare!! :D
Come on, make my day. It's been a rough week! :o:o

Well done to all connected with Rogan. Must admit, haven't seen this guy as yet. Pics anyone, or website?

Also congrats to Tina, Arthur, Elaine (who else?) for Contucci.

Minaz,

Rogan has been on several Doberman Digest covers... you might try here http://www.dmcg.com/pubs/dobermandigest/dd_index.html there are several covers of him.

About Contucci, while I'm sure that Tina appreciates being congratulated for Contucci, Tracy Daugherty and Jason Ally (who co own Contucci) would probably appreciate it even more. :) Tina owns Contucci's brother Ch. Logres' Contender. I know, I know, its a whole lot of "C" names. Most everyone is confused most of the time. Just be glad you don't have to try to pronounce "Wahajama." From now on, our puppies will be named Spot, Fido, Woof or Lassie. :D

and Tina, I shot you an email... but mum's the word for now:cool:

Major congrats to Rogan, Diego, and all involved. I agree with you Elaine, I fell in love with Rogan the first time I saw him at the Syracuse shows last year.... He is gorgeous and I hear he is a real nice boy too. He has always been at the top of my list of potential sires......

Betty,
I agree that Rogan is a lovely dog... and I am sure he is a wonderful sire, but he is not who I had in mind... he just reminded me of the depth of quality in that side of the pedigree and he the rekindles the desire to tap into it. But the dog we have in mind is black, and we would be the second breeder to use him. Come to think of it, we were the second to use Trotyl too. :)

Back to Rogan, has anyone seen any of his puppies?

Mary Jo Ansel in SE PA has a nice litter out of Rogan. I think she kept a boy she calls "Harvard"

I had the oppurtunity to see one of his boys with Mary-Jo at Penn-Jersey.
Just beautiful! Excellent bone, very nice head and expression(everyone knows what a freak I am about a great head!!),very masculine puppy with a nice personality!
I hear the rest of the litter is also very nice also.

I have had the chance to spend time with Rogan and can't say enough about what a lovely boy he is. Just a cool, fun and lovey dog. He greets Bob and me like old friends...smiling and a huge wag and demanding a pet everytime!

There is a pic of him on dobequest. Funny....dobequest has him listed as being red. He looks black to me.

I bred to Rogan - and kept the pick male and co-own a red girl and a red boy. It was a litter of 5. They just turned 6 months old June 20th. I will be at Harrisburg in August with two of them.

My bitch Louise is a daughter of Ch Gemstone's Cold Cash Datelis and Ch Cha-Rish Kissed By The Wind (a 1/2 sister to Hunter). It was a line breeding on both sides of the pedigree. Joan Witt really wanted to do this breeding and since I've loved Rogan since he was 9 weeks old (he is owned by a friend of mine - Joan Noon) it was an easy decision.

I've been very happy with the breeding and also see a lot of my Louise in the puppy I kept. Louise is no slouch - she finished with 3 majors.

I've got some stacked puppy pictures on my website - but nothing too recent of the boy I kept - hopefully soon.
