Was at Pet Supplies Plus today....killing time... waiting on my daughter to get an outfit for court tomorrow (she was at the mall next door). Came across a book
called "A Kennel Club Book Doberman Pinscher". It was in a section that contained a whole bunch of "A Kennel Club" books about many different breeds.
Anyway I usually look at these books to see if they at least use quality dobermans for their pictures.
Can't remember much about the quality of the dobes used for illustration because there was one picture that caught my eye and I couldn't believe what I was seeing and reading.
It was a picture of a "Vet??" holding what appeared to be a dobe puppy possibly two to three days old in his right hand and a pair of "scissors" in his left hand up to the puppies ear as if he was getting ready to cut it!!:eek::eek:
The caption beside the picture said something to the effect that Doberman puppies ears are usually cropped between 2 and 5 days of age!!???:eek:::eek::
Is this an acceptable practice anywhere in this world??:confused:
I sure hope not. :(:(

Oh really, we crop at 2 - 5 days of age??? Eeeeek!:eek:
What’s amazing is that because this is in print, some people will actually believe it’s true :( and the person who wrote the book will be the “expert.”
