This morning I went to our Sales page, something I really never do, but Arthur had noticed we still had Warkant listed as a class dog :o and he wanted it updated... so I updated . While there I was looking at the photos towards the bottom of the page, that I ran through Abode Photo shop. Hadn't seen them in a while... clearly I am just a hack amateur, but I love Adobe Photoshop. It is, without any doubt, one of the greatest time wasters in the history of history (far better than Spider Solitaire). :p You can literally spend hours goofing around with photos. Any of you play with the program? Here are some of my efforts... all from photos... for example, left to right is: Wahajama at about 4 months; Quincy at about 4 months; Commander at about 18 months (he is now in England), Feinbrand at 8 weeks; and some flowers.

a few more, left to right:

Cooldanz with Ann Gribbons and Elly in the saddle ( Cooldanz is now in England)... Titan with Arthur, flowers, flowers... and Warkant at 7 weeks.

You are such a goon :D... I am hoping that her flower-loving-soon-to-be-new-owner... who is a DSNN member... hint hint hint... will be able to post lots of photos of her... when that magic day arrives. :D:D:D

I have photo shop but never have 3 days in a row to figure it out.!! It's time hog to say the least!! I try something then walk away because I can't figure it out. I need to be retired to spend enough time to do it. Or here's a brillant idea. A class maybe!

How do you do that blurry thing? Like what you did with the horse and the flower?

First, whenever you have a problem with a computer... grab any handy 10 year-old kid off a street corner... they will know what to do.:p

That "blurry thing" is under “FILTER.” There is all sorts of funs stuff to try. If you click on “Artistic” in the tool bar and then in the drop down menu I think I used “underpainting”... but it may have been “dry brush.”

I took your photo and did dry brush, then patchwork, accented edges, stain glass and chalk and charcoal.

Now, it would have been better if I had a higher resolution of the original photo (and I enlarged teh image size of the photo you posted to 600 width).

I think that photos with bright colors look very nice with some of the effects in Filter. And, as you mentioned, it is "the black hole of time wasters" ... show it to Merrilee.:D
