When I called Don to tell him X-Factor took a 4 or 5 pt major I couldn't talk to him. Talked to his son and got the news that his son's house burned that night and they lost X-Caliber, Cayenne's littermate. Don was with the authorities when I called. The good thing is Donnie and his wife made it out of a very fast moving fire. It seemed like such a petty reason to be calling when I found out... Things and houses can be replaced but poor X-Caliber....

Judie, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of X-Caliber. A fire is devastating enough with out the loss of loved ones.....two or four legged. My prayers are with the families.

How horrible.. fire is so devastating when there is just the loss of property, but to loose a beloved animal too... well, it must be overwhelming. Please pass along to Don's son that is there is anything we can do, we’d be honored to be able to help. I’d be willing to bet that others here feel the same.

There's nothing anyone can REALLY say at a time such as this. Just let the family know that we are all keeping them in our minds and hearts. And I second the idea...if there's anything I can do, let me know.:(

How sad. Yes, of course, I would be willing to do anything to help. Please let the family know they are in my thoughts and prayers.

Talked to Don yesterday and the fire marshal feels it was an electrical malfunction with the computer.... Well, when I leave the dogs in the house when I go somewhere, my computers will all be turned off...I know that my new laptop is quite hot and I have a pad under it to protect the table it is on. Sometimes those fans quit on these computers and then it causes a probem. They are cleaning up the house site now and trying to make a plan.

I'll pass on everyone's thoughts to them when I talk to them next.

Hold your dogs a little closer and appreciate them being with you....:)
