Christmas has always been special to me... anyone who know me knows that, I always have a theme... something akin to “looks like it threw up Christmas at my house.” At one point I was going to try to get Faberge in the house under the tree. (Faberge was a bay filly we had... not such a good idea and pretty near impossible to do :p). Still, there is no such thing as too much decorations. Julie mentioned doing her Christmas cards ... got me to thinking about a theme for this year... here are some thing’s we’ve done in the past ... and a sleigh that a friend in Germany had for sale... that I always thought would be great to own... it was in perfect condition, mahogany... very old.... something like $15K plus shipping.
Would love to see that others have done

I wonder how many snakes could hide in a sleigh in North Carolina...And I know that you would use such a sleigh during those long hard snowy winters, too!!!!:p:p:p And, Hey! You left your face in the picture!!! I'm sooo proud of you!!! You go girl!

whoops :p
E:
you could sooo much with that sleigh!!! Maybe you can get the filly in the sleigh? Don't get me started. I'm trying to think of x-mas things to paint for my Nat'l booth I'm doing. I have to think up some very cute cute cute ornament. Put your thinking cap on there Elaine! But it has to be cheap and easy. Kind of like.....:D:D:D I will not finish that line!! LOL And no fimo!! But I still have all my fimo ornaments. yes all of them.
You are going to be soo jealous ! A friend of mine is givning me his scroll saw!! So I'm going to be cutting out beardies like a fool to paint. Should be fun. I will take picks for you.
And there are no I repeat no snakes at x-mas time!! Please!

Hey Julie, didn't we do a dough art snake with a Santa hat once? back when you and Merrilee and I used to do dough art... and watch Dallas.... I know we did the Santa hat theme with Cooldanz and with a Giant Prickly (which frightened more than charmed people... a reflection of GPrickly bias)...
Here is one we did of Brentina and the Contender Warkant Feinbrand Wah Wei litter.
And the aborted GP Merry Christmas (and what a healthy adult GP looks like)

For someone that is SOOOO busy, you seem to have a bit too much free time, Elaine!!!:p
E:
Has your train around your tree gotten even bigger?!! You are really throwing up x-mas these days. Does your tree still looking like it's going through the ceiling? My favorite elf was the one pulling on the plug or maybe the one with the scissors cutting something?? I love them all. They ar just sooo cute.
I remember making those porno people!!:p The little girl with her dress up and the man with the trench coat! Thinking about those still makes me laugh! I think I gave all those away. Because I don't have them.
But what ever those little creature where in your pictures back there are ugly!! What are those things?? Even with a Santa hat on they not cute:eek::confused:

The Giant Prickly's were for Steph... I ended up with them... they are fascinating creatures, with a rate of cellular that is staggering. I always thought someone studying burns or spinal cord injuries should be studying the rate of cellular reproduction of these guys... but as I recall, they don’t have an enclosed circulatory system... so there may be a huge leap to make them applicable to regenerating human tissue... but there may be something there.
And, yes I remember your "couple" ... the man and the woman... boy did we think they were funny... a Christmas Classic. And I remember you and Merilee doing Beardies and Sheepdogs. In fact it was just this last move that I finally lost the dough Lhasa's - Willie and Liza - that Merilee made me. I may still have some refrigerator magnets of sheepdogs. And I'm sure I still have your painted House / book ends... have treasured them all these years... they have been all over this country.
Late September early October is when I get going with ideas... it’s still a bit hot here to get inspired about Christmas... and... well... I don’t want to got in to any more details... but E2, Carmen, Jan and a few others know ... it's simply disgraceful :p

Actually, Elaine's creativity and passion are a true joy. She is the brightest, most thoughtful person I have ever met. I work with some intelligent people at the hospital, but none compare with Elaine. I recognized from the first time I met Elaine that she could discuss anything with anybody regardless of the complexity. Before applying to medical school I took a class on International Medicine. Since Elaine and I were carpooling, she decided to take the class too. She was probably the best student in the class. The guest speakers always wanted to talk to her after the class. Here I was the one trying to get into medical school and the stuffy unapproachable Dean wanted to talk to Elaine.
Elaine is a shinning star in my life. I'm proud to be her husband and I am glad she is able to put up with me.

I think I will sign off from here for a while now. I think I stepped on your toes.
Sorry

I think it's cool that the parents of my Dogbabies can each do their own thing and respect eachother. WOW, what a concept! Arfur, do you have a brother???:p:D

Julie,
My toes are fine. I just saw it as an opportunity bragg about my wonderful wife who clearly has to put up with me.
