Just thought you guys might like to see Patrick herding. The video is kind of dark but it shows how big he is getting. And note.... this is a work in progress. He is only 5 mths here.
I've never inserted a link before so I hope this works.:p:confused:
Enjoy

The clip workes beautifully … Patrick seems like a bundle of puppy energy, yet he has a general grasp of what he’s supposed to do. Was this his first time? Was this considered a good job for a young Beardie? Looked pretty good to me?:)

Julie I'd say Patrick was doing very well for such a young fellow

I find it interesting watching how the training goes for herding... so I really enjoyed watching it. I know some Doberman's do this but those at my house would not be suited for it.

It will be interesting to see how Patrick progresses with this...

Very nice...

I have to say he is coming along well. It is something I have just taken up, so I am learning as well. But I am told he is on his way. Tonight we went and he is changing direction now and not barking as much. Which means he is starting to think about what he is doing instead of just running after sheep.
We go every Saturday and do one run. That is all he can take at this age.

Hi Julie,
Really enjoyed Patrick's "debut" video! I think he's gonna be a star someday!! :D
I think he shows great instinct for such a young man. The first time a sheep separated from the flock, he just watched it circle back but the next two times, he went after it and "herded" it back! :) BRAVO Patrick!! :):)

Hey Tina, on her other thread Julie mentions that she is a bit stuck on getting Patrick to stand back from her... if you have any thoughts that might help her, I bet she'd appreciate hearing from you. http://dogshownewsnetwork.com/forum/showthread.php?t=439
