Ok...I wasn't sure where to place this post but thought this might work.

I am looking to place a lovely 12-18 month old orange kitty I have called Marmie(Marmalade...I know, not real original!) Bob and I have been supplementing her income this summer after she turned up IN my bird bath one morning.
I believe she was dumped off. I live on a very private dirt road with 5 other families and she belongs to none of them.
As much as we adore Marmie, we can't bring her into the house, Bob can't breath around cats. He is so allergic, it is scary.
I am sure she is spayed, and is a very sweet, purry little bundle of hair. Marmie is living in our garage and gets 2 squares a day along with some very tasty canned food and salmon. She delights in sneaking about teasing Vaako and Emma from the other side of the fence.
I am taking her in for all her vetting and to get a clean bill of health.

If anyone knows of anyone who would give her a loving and forever home, please shoot me an email.

I will try and get a photo of her and get it posted.

Thanks......Cheryl

IF anyone is interested in this kitty, send Cheryl a private message. :)

That's ok Brenna....you can ask....since you have really no clue what my education or history is, one could assume I am a complete novice and forgot that part of the exam. I'll let you have that one.

Cheryl

PS...Hey Sophia...Remind you of Joe's, "It's between the 2 and the 3 on the dial."? Really?????

that’s interesting… I am not a cat person, but over the years I’ve heard that the calico color is sex linked to females… didn’t know that the orange tabby was sex linked to males… learn something new every day. :p

kind of like baldness (which is actually a dominant trait, but isn't phenotypically expressed that way in the population). Orange tabby cats are most frequently males, much as tall people are more frequently males. It doesn'y perclude a female, it just doesn't happen as often. Calico/tortoiseshell kitties are a totally different thing. What can I say, I'm a veritable plethora of useless information!

Heh! Now that you mention it I have only seen male orange tabbies. Interesting.

I have also seen a a larger number of male orange cats, typicalyl they have no white on them at all or very little. I have a fondness for big chunky boy orange cats.
Marms on the other hand is petite and has a ton of white....that seems to hold true for most of the orange females, they have a large perecentage of white on their body.

We need to keep this thread going until she finds a forever home... does Marms do any special tricks? Do you have a photo of her?

No tricks except to harrass Vaako and Emma any chance she gets. One night at about 12 midnight, I let them out and she is sitting on a fence post. I was sure they would grab at her. Instead they ran like crazy dogs right under her as she is swiping at them. She is crazy...that is her trick!! LOL!

I will try and snap a photo of her tomarrow...she has been a little elusive today.
