E1 and E2 ~ Together At Last

E2 has been visiting here in NC for the past few weeks, the time has zipped by… it’s been great fun. She and Tom may be looking at property in the area, I know she has her eye on one or two possibilities, and we’re going to check out some land later today.

Apologies, but we have taken very few photos. Turns out E2 is not a morning person, takes here a few hours come fully awake, in fact, she’s sound asleep (with Almé on the floor next to her) as I write this. Yesterday I got E2 out of bed at the crack of dawn, dressed here warmly, threw on a goofy hat, stuck a lounge whip in her hand and dragged her out to the horse pasture so we could try to capture the golden light of the rising sun on the frosty pasture. I brought along a fir garland which I strung around Lourdess’ neck. (I can’t believe what my mares will tolerate for the sake of a photo). Over time I could tell E2 was coming awake, she kept yelling out, “Oh crap, there’s horse shit every where out here.”

ELAINE, THOSE ARE GORGEOUS!!! I too am amazed by your mares' tolerance - it looks like she also has a candy cane bumping on her??? My Marty would of course try to eat both items, especially the candy cane. He's a whore for peppermint, which makes training a bit easier for sure!

Thanks Athy... and about what the mares tolerate, what can I say? Arthur and I foaled Lourdess, she's been putting up with this kind of stuff since the day she was born... she probably thinks this is what horses do :D

You live in heaven!!!!!!!!! My favorites, Horses, dobermans, and a warmer climate!!! Beautiful pics. BTW- I am looking to get a new camera, what is yours the photos are nice.

Hi Cathy, the camera is a Nikon dx40 and I am love it. Of course so does E1 and I don't see much of it when E1 is around.:D

E2 is so so right about her camera. I love hers!!! When E2 is not around, I use a Canon Eos ... which is very nice, but E2's camera is simply better.... in every respect, it makes taking photos a joy. :) -E

Hey Stir, how ARE you???? I was just telling E1 this morning that I have been worried about you, and here you are. :D:D:D Great to hear from you again. What have you been up to? BTW I bought Photoshop Elements 6. Oy Vay. One would think that for 100 bucks they could include some user instructions at least.
Update us on everything. Have you been to any shows with the Afghans etc etc?

What a great Thanksgiving gift... to hear from you Stir. :) As E2 mentioned, we were talking about you yesterday. SO... tell us every little detail of what you've been up to... just between you and I. :)

Seriously, we miss you, need to find a way to get together again... a friend's sister has a health issue that reminded me we need to check up on you much more often.

And yes, in the one photo, that is the lawnmower, now semi-retired because the grass has all stopped growing. The biggest news we have 'round here is with the horses, Faberge is going nicely undersaddle... great feed back from the trainer on her, and we got a professional videographer to take some video footage of Sandro D.. which we may have up on the website this weekend... and I got a new hat for E2 for Christmas... to replace the one in the photo above... she was scaring the horses. :p

yeh, that's SOME HAT!

have only been to a few shows recently - I have a bitch needing just majors, so pickings are slim (recently a nice major broke ... don't get me started ... the upside is it gave the petsitter another visit with the dogs, right? and I needed to try out the map/gps on my iphone right? in the snow?) -

Though I did show my 6 yo special, a few weeks ago, at his first all breed since he finished in 2004. He's starting to remember, and now I find him standing out and about in a nice stack, waiting to catch treats. (when he was young, back when I was doing agility, he used to sit in the contact zone of the teeter and bark at me for treats - brat!). So, apparently I'm just an overgrown Pez dispenser with bleached-blonde hair and an eggnog addiction.

(a few of his pups have picked up points recently, so that's fun, and requires NO work on my part at ALL! maybe they'll take pity on me and send photos...)

Looking forward to the video E1! (and the hat E2!)
