Well, it’s gray and over cast here in NC today… E2 is probably within a few hundred miles of home right about now. To say that I loved having her and that I will miss her dearly is a gross understatement. :o She and I are obviously twins , separated at birth. We had a blast and somehow managed to stay out of jail.:D Actually, truth be told, we never did find the time to get all liquored up and go joy riding around town, we’ll have to get to that next time. :p Mostly we shopped, ate, visited with friends, dropped on on Julie at Moore Co Coffee... and played with the dogs.

E2 loved the area. She and Tom may very well end up here, at least part time. Here are some photos of one of the properties she looked at… 25 acres with a nice pond. There were other possibilities… hopefully E2 and Tom will be back here next spring. In the meantime, she’ll have her hands full with Q and Almé.

While she was here E2 did her best to help out the North Carolina economy; I believe she bought one of every thing that is for sale in this state. Tom will no doubt be thrilled. Just loading all her purchases for the trip home blew out all four tires on her SUV and Almé had to ride on the roof rack. :D:(

As for me, I recently fell into a wad-cash and had my sights set on some much bigger ticket items. For one thing, I’ve been on the lookout for something to replace the riding mower, something sporty for those quick trips into town. I was able to nickel a dime the former owner of this little baby. It's now mine, all mine!!! Won't it be great for short trips and when I drop in on Phil later this week.

And, as many of you know, I’ve had my heart set on a new motor home for ages now. What with the economy being in the dumper and all, it’s really a buyer's market, so I decided to take the plunge and get a rig. With some careful shopping and a bit of arm twisting, utilizing my highly skilled bargaining prowess (which I must admit, took some doing), I was able to score on this mint condition 2008 45 ft Newell diesel pusher with four slides. Brenna and E2 loved it!

Speaking of Brenna, the day before E2 left, Brenna and Moose dropped in to say “hello.” We never stopped talking from the first moment to the last, seldom have I felt so strong a connection to another. Loved her... and Moose is a doll... a stunning Doberman with incredible poise and confidence, especially for so young a dog. Brenna is a treasure…

It's rather quiet around the house today... think I'll run into town and see what's up. Later...

Ok E1,
in the first photo, is that a fine boned Beauceron or an oversized Standard Manchester Terrier -- what are ya breeding down there???

Hey Elaine,

I was wondering if you are going to consider renting that fine RV to the public.

Imagine life on the road going dog show to dog show in that magnificent rig!

After all, how many motor homes do you see these days that come with a porch??

You could also tow that that purty yellow rig behind you. This can be used in different cities to go site seeing!!!!

Imagine all the extra luggage and dog food you could put in that over sized luggage compartment in the front. Not to mention the great four wheel drive. Yep, they don't make em like that anymore!

Hee hee- great pics, great fun - I wanna join your club!

Love the new RV and the sporty town tripper!!! Pics are great! E#2 called this afternoon and she seemed surprisingly awake and lively. Heard all about Tom having Alme's crate ready for when she arrived and that he loves her already. Seems Q has decided he's been brought the best present ever---a real live stuffy:D Hope with the sudden quiet of Brenna and E2 gone you didn't think you'd suddenly become deaf:D
