Yesterday DAR&E volunteers had an educational type weekend with our doberkids.
Our Va volunteers and also Md volunteers set up at the local Petco's for a bit of education on our wonderful breed and also on the joys of adoption/rescue.
I took my silly boy Dallas for a meet and greet which he thoroughly enjoyed and was great for him and confidence building. He really loves children and has zero issues being hugged and kissed by them. Other volunteers brought their doberchildren as well.
We had pretty high traffic with so many folks coming by and visiting our table, taking educational info as well as asking about adoption.
One of the best visitors we had was a gal that was adopted almost 9 years ago come by with her adoptive Mom. She was about 11 years old, lumpy bumpy, with sweet old face. Her Mom just couldnt tell us enough about how wonderful this old gal was. How heartwarming.
All in all a great day with the chance to show John Q public how amazing this breed is.
