DAR&E is getting ready to kick off their Santa Paws campaign.

The Santa Paws is one of our biggest fundraisers we do around the holiday
season. As Freya has told us in her letter to Santa, she and her siblings lived in deplorable conditions before coming to DAR&E.
AC control had been involved in seizing these dogs as they had been basically living on their own. Altho fed, the owner did absolutely little to nothing for them.
AC was called because neighbors had heard the horrendous fights between the dogs.
While the dogs were being held at the shelter before the gent went to trial in hopes of getting his dogs back, our volunteers went to the shelter, played with, walked, brought toys and loved on while we were waiting on word from the court system. So much for a speedy trial btw as these dogs were at the shelter for months. Thankfully a number of them have found their forever homes and are hoping the same for the others who are currently being loved in their foster homes but still awaiting their forever homes.
To say the least taking this many dogs all at one time was a bit overwhelming as we also continued to take in additional dogs from shelters, owners etc (business as usual) .
DAR&E is always grateful for the support of the dobe community.
