Why thank you ladies!
I am an absolute head freak!
Vaako's head makes me smile and get goosebumps and Miss Emma's has her dad's lovely expression.
Now, of course....I am a tad subjective about our kids, so it is nice to hear it from from others! Thanks again!

Hey Carole Ann...your guys are looking great! Love your red boy there! I think I liked him whne Diego was lookign at them in NY State this past summer. He was a lovely little guy at that time too.

Give Contender a big squeeze from us Tina!

Smooch is Austin's red sister, who has only been out 3 times. I think you are thinking of Cassie, she was black with the purple color and full of attitude

Cheryl and I call it the Dober-saurs. They dance and make sounds like dinosaurs. It does look like they are at the backyard ball. Thanks for the kind words. We love them both very much. And think they are beautiful, but we are partial..you know that feeling.

I do know that feeling :) My little boy Jack (DAR&E's Cap'n Jack Sparrow) is naught but a BYB product, dumped into rescue at the tender age of six weeks! But from the moment I held that little neonate in my arms, I was a goner! To my eyes, he's a gorgeous little stinker, in spite of his total lack of forechest, angles and sometimes brains :D

Beauty is indeed in the eyes of beholders :)

Athy,

I know exactly how you feel. It was love at first sight with Emma and I. However we also know about that feeling with rescues. Cheryl and I had the good fortune to share our lives with two very special BYB rescue girls. Both special needs, Sadie the 9 year old had the worst hips I have ever seen. L.E. her daughter had only three good legs. Sadie was a 95-98 Lbs. bitch. One of my friends actually asked us if she was a doberman because she did not look like the other 2 we had. Cheryl picked them up while I was at work so I had not seen or met them. When I walked in from work Sadie came rumbling down the hall ready to kick my ass. Then she joined me on the sofa to keep an eye on me, grumbling the whole time until she fell asleep in my lap. From then on we were the best of pals. I still miss the old girl who passed at 14, she was a great dog!

Again too lazy to switch....not even sure why I have my own membership sometimes..LOL

Athy
I remember it well when he came to you. He was soooo darn sick and way to tiny.
All
The story goes (I do intake for DAR&E) we got a call from a Dad whose son basically had done one of the stupidest things he could do.............buy a puppy from er, um, lets just be nice and say less than reputable breeder at less than 6 weeks old. Kid was going off to college, and Dad wasnt interested in taking on this poor doberpup.
This poor little fella needed a foster and I can say sincerely that Athy LOVES a pup:)
So Jack was dumped. I remember his very first pics he was just so tiny.
He was laying on Athy's hubby's chest in the pics and he just looked so helpless.
He certainly has turned into a nice young man with a mean nub wag, fer sure.
All of us have fallen head over heels for our doberkids. I drove everyone insane when we first saw the picture of Dallas come thru our surrender mail box. I knew he was mine before I met him.
And my Kayla girlie too. Only it was Athy I drove insane because she was fostering her many moons ago.
Regardless of any imperfections, I think we all can def see past them in our "kids" and just love them all the more.
