Hello Everyone,

Way back in August of this year I lost the love of a life to a careless Fed Ex driver who came up my driveway and killed UKC CH Holderpark Pie's Rylan Paul...a beautiful doberman that was more than just a child to me.

In the painful months following his death, there were several guardian angels who kept me breathing, forced me to try to move on when I didn't want to, and reminded me that life will continue without Rylan. My parents, husband, friends, and co-workers and several folks in the dobie world, including many on this website kept me going.

There has also been a few guardian angels who made sure life would be complete again with the addition of another male doberman who was destined to be a Mama's Boy.
Judie Walter assured me that it was the right thing to do get another doberman and she provided the support that made me realize that we can continue to live even with the loss of a child (although we do not continue very easily, but we learn to live with the loss).
Ironically, Linda Freese in Phoenix had just bred her bitch, Lexi, to Philip Martin's Sobe Monster. Linda and I talked and she said my name was on a black male from this litter, but there was only a red male.
Through her kindness, Linda had contacted Philip about me getting a puppy from his litter that was due mid September.
Philip Martin has been kind enough to allow me to have pick male from his litter. Not only did he give me pick male, he gave me a whole new realization that there can be two loves in one life! (sorry fellas, my heart belongs to the dogs!) Philip has been very supportive and gave me such an appreciation of what a breeder should go through with a litter. An amazing experience to say the least....
The entire litter of 10 is just stunning and the choice for pick male was not an easy one, but Philmar Pie's Monster Murphyella (call name Traysen) is now home and has made a quick transformation from "light green male" to Mama's Boy!

Thank You, Judie, Linda, and Philip.....could not have made it the last three months without your help. Traysen and I will do you proud....but then again, it will be very easy for him!

Attached is a casual pic ....one with Grandma and Grandpa...if I can put him down long enough I will take some pics with him stacked and post them...!

Sarah,
I have thought of you a couple of times since reading your first post. Your story about Rylan made me very sad. I thought, how will she find the strength to go on? This you have done and so much more. This is a happy ending to a terrible story. Enjoy your beautiful boy.

It is so nice to hear from you again. I have often worried about you and wondered how you were doing.

What a wonderful story and how beautiful is he?? I bet you can't stop hugging him.:)
Thank you for sharing your good news and congratulations.
Yep, that Phil is pretty darn kind and wonderful isn't he?

Give Traysen a kiss for me and keep the pictures coming

So wonderful that you posted…. just the other day we were wondering how you were doing.

About Phill, you are preaching to the choir here… no need to tell us what a wonderful man he is, great breeder, devoted to the breed and to his dogs. He sets the bar high for all of us to follow. We’ve heard a lot about the litter your puppy came from. I am so pleased that you got a puppy from it. Of course, we will need to see photos on a regular and consistent basis. :) Don’t need to tell you this, but I will anyway, cherish each and every precious moment with Trayson. And enjoy. :):)

What a nice picture and what happy looking parents. I know how hard it is to get back when you have had such a loss. Good for Phil in his kindness and his appreciation of good owners!

Sarah, the sound of your voice with happiness back in it was worth anything small I did to help. Your precious little guy that you have and watching him grow up is going to be something..... Can't wait to get my hands on him when I see you next. Maybe at our specialty show coming up.... You are so lucky....Nothing like puppy breath and I can't wait until my little girl gets here. Enjoy your little guy and don't forget the pictures.

can't wait until my little girl gets here.

What "little girl" ? Are you getting a female litter mate to Traysen? We hear they are very very nice.

Oh Elaine, how I wish I was getting one from this litter. I was watching one particular girl from this litter but no not taking one from this litter. I'll let you know when it is known there are buns in the oven with the breeding I'm waiting for. The timing wasn't right for me right now since I'm having surgery next week that will limit my abilty to walk for a while. Can't do a puppy justice because of that.

There is a great picture of Traysen's litter that Philip had taken....Maybe he would share it with the group. Don't know how he does it with large litters but the picture is perfect...
