This lil girl is something: found running loose on the mesa outside of Las Cruces, she's VERY human social, not so much w/other dogs, so far. Got a call on Wens asking if I could foster a 2-3yo red bitch, met the LC NM Doberman Rescue rep midway at 1300 Thurs, and found a severely underweight (5-10lbs) 10-12month old black girl, down eared, dewies intact, docked tail, with what appears to be a brand on her side.

Shelter papers call her Fiorella, I tried Fi-fi, the NMDR guy suggested Greta, the web site lists her as Mira, and I'm calling her lots of things when I find potties behind her crate after she comes back inside through the dog door.

My friends tell me I now have a 3rd dog, but I'm not feeling it. She's sweet, and playful, and has a gunky upper respiratory infection right now, but I'll be happy to get her healthy enough to be spayed & in a Forever home. Every time I look at her completely straight rear end (no angulation whatsoever) I just wanna shoot whoever thought BYB was a nifty idea.

Pix once I get 'em off my camera.

Wow
She is a cutie pie for sure. I am sure she is happy to being loved on which she probably never knew pre-coming to your home.
Hopefully she'll quickly get the hang of the housebreaking.
Its so sad to see these poor dogs in this condition and know someone see's them like this everyday before they are dumped. Its heartbreaking.
I am sure with all the TLC she's getting she'll be feeling and looking so much better in no time.
Your first foster is always a bit nervewracking for sure :)
When I was fostering I cried after each one left with the exception of 2 of them. Their bags were packed pretty early on:) We could only do males as Kayla was absolutely not having another female in the house.
If I can help with any questions please give a shout.
Thank you for giving her a chance and loving her while you have her.
