We (DAR&E) are all just recovering from our huge Fall BBQ and now will be entering more mayhem and madness with our 3rd annual Santa Day madness

We use a training facility that has always been most kind to DAR&E that is decorated and will be waiting on Santa's arrival. His assistant elf will be arriving as well to help out with the photo's.
All breeds are welcome to have a crack at Santa, er, I mean have a chance to sit with Santa for photo shoot. :)
Our photographer does the pics, prints and we frame so folks can take them home that day.
In addition to the madness of the pic's, we have massive baked goods for sale, merchandise from collars, to coats, lovely Christmas items to yard ornaments that will please the pickiest poodle to the most delightful dobes and all in between.
This event is a fundraiser for DAR&E with 100% going to help our dobes in need.
Sure wished everyone lived a bit closer to join us.

This is another one of the craziest days for DAR&E! My favorite memory is from Santa Day 2006 - Santa was in fine form, with a beautiful background for the photographs. A lady came in with a couple little dogs, checked out the situation and asked us if Santa would pose with children. We said sure why not. The lady dashed home and returned with her three children (infant on up to about 8 years, all dressed up in their Sunday best) AND the dogs. Next thing we know, Santa is holding a baby on his lap, surrounded by kids and dogs.

I can tell you that Santa works hard for the money on this particular day :p

Just an update from our Santa Day.
Well as usual we can describe this event as organized chaos.
When Santa arrived, it was snowing slightly, absolutely freezing cold and
a herd of dogs all waiting to see him and tell him what they wanted for Christmas.
We had everything from a chihuahua in a Santa suit herself with gold sash, pits, sheperds, samoyeds to a child in a pink fairy princess costume, to a TON of dobes of course.
With such a sagging economy we werent sure how today would go, but folks didnt seem to mind spending a bit of money on their dogs:)

Last Sunday was DAR&E's Santa Day - I pulled out a few of the cuter shots (and it was hard to pick 'em out!) This event has really grown over the past couple years - we even had a princess in attendance this year! I included that last shot just to prove to you all that we did have Dobes there too :)
