All
I thought I would share our Santa Paws update.
https://sites.google.com/site/dobenet/Home/A-Flyer-Pages/santa-paws
Freya has asked me to let everyone know that Santa Paws has been very very kind to her and her fellow dobes in foster care.
Our DAR&E adopters and surrounding community has been reaching out, even in this tough economy to help DAR&E help so many dobes in need.
This tough economy is not being kind to rescue nor shelters and the calls are somewhat overwhelming.
We thank all who have reached out to us so that we can continue to help more dobes in need.
Its also quite amazing that each day our mail is delivered along with UPS coming, I get to come home from work and be thankful for all those who have been thinking of us. Its a wonderful feeling:)
My own two doberkids arent quite as excited as Freya and her fellow foster dobes. To say they are a little envious is an understatement. :D

Wanted to update everyone about our Santa Paws campaign for DAR&E. https://sites.google.com/site/dobenet/Home/A-Flyer-Pages/santa-paws

The outpouring of support is just overwhelming in such a difficult time.
I get to come home each day and read the wonderful cards and letters from adopters telling us how their adopted dobe has changed their lives. I get to see the wonderful photo's of dobes being humiliated:) by their loving owners by being forced to wear reindeer antlers, covered in Christmas scarves and just being forced to drip in Christmas spirit. :)
Cards also include brags, and touching stories as well.
My basement looks like a Doggie wonderland or rather a Petsmart Explosion with all the gifts that will go to our dobes in fostercare.
I am sure my neighbors must think I am having a fling with our UPS man since his truck delivers packages to my house pretty much daily;)as well as mail man and Fed EX.
All monetary donations will of course be used to help our current dobes in foster care and pay medical bills, spays, neuters.

Riley would like pressed rawhide bones please... [here's his most pathetic expression]:

Riley is one of our last WV BYB Bust Babies. He's a real sweetie pie and is so ready for a home of his own.

Ok, now that is a pathetic face. How could anyone resist his pitiful self?

I have met Riley on a number of occassions and he was actually named after my dear beloved Riley that passed from cardio.
Very much sweet heart.

Riley was kept outdoors 24x7 in his prior life (he's about three years old). Nowadays it's outside to potty, bark at the horses, try to scare the feral cats, then right back in the house. He was housetrained within days, he loves his crate (excellent place to hide treasures) and he's just a lovely housedog.

Amazing how adaptable and smart this breed is.

He is just adorable!!
He knows a good deal when he sees it, warm cushies, good food and hugs and pets. Smart and sweet.

If I hear anyone is looking for a sweet guy to rescue, I will send them your way!

Give him a hug from me.
