Anyone on the forum ever been to Georgetown South Carolina? Ever lived there? Know anything about it? Any info would be appreciated!

I have been to Georgetown. I have a painting from an artist that had a shop there but has since died. He did wonderful old time paintings of slaves and cabins etc. It seems like a quiet little town. We just stopped in on our way to Charleston from Pawley's Island.
