Hi Hi Hi

I had a lovely litter of Miniature Dachshunds at the end of September. There were 3 wirehaired and 2 smooth pups. Of these, were 3 piebalds. This is a little boy I'm keeping with me. I'm also keeping a piebald wirehaired girl.

He reminds me of photos I've seen of Elaine's beautiful pinto stallions. Not in size -- but in color, pattern and beauty.

He is pictured here at 6 - 7 weeks old, flying down the hall past me.

What a sweetheart... I was just posting to your website link that you have Pintos. They are adorable. Years ago I watched Wally Pede judge a Dachshund Specialty... spent the whole day with Dachshunds... really a great breed. I realy like the Wires. (And no docking or cropping... and you guys are never on any lists.) :p.

It was so hard for me to let the 3 go to new homes. I loved them all!

This little boy is so sweet! The little girl I kept (wirehaired) is a pistol and is constantly thinking of ways to anoy her brother, the other dogs, anything she can reach and is especially focused on are my fuzzy bedroom shoes. She keeps trying to kill them.

One thing to NEVER gift a Dachshund with is any toy containing a squeeker. They will immediately disembowel the toy to kill and swallow the noise maker then mouthful by mouthful, remove all the stuffing if it's a plush toy.

When I had my beautiful Doberman, I let her select her own toys at the pet store. We'd walk up to the toy section and I'd hold several for her to examine. We'd keep doing that until she would tilt her head and try to put one in her mouth. That's the one I'd buy for her.

One time, she selected a little round, rubber squeeker toy that had a painted face on it. She carried it around, set it on the floor and look at its face and talk to it. She took care of that little face for years.

Oh the joys of living with dogs!
