Amy Wukotich, who operates the Illinois Dobe rescue group sent a post to Doberescuers earlier today. Here are some excerpts of her post:
"I spent all day today @ Chicago Animal Control evaluating & photographing these dogs. . . I removed the 12 puppies & they are w/IDR now. LOMDR will also be able to take a few of the pups from us. There are 7 adults left at the shelter on hold for us. They are safe, we've been working w/this shelter for years, but obviously, the sooner they can get vetted & into a foster home, the better. Many of the dogs have ringworm, so they will need to be kept separate, 6 of the pups & 6 of the adults have it."
Amy emailed me earlier - the pups were literally COVERED in feces and urine. All have been bathed and thank God are warm and fed now. She's going to send some pictures out after she gets some rest - I will post them as soon as I can.
Amy and her group have their hands full. I've already asked the DAR&E volunteers and adopters to help out, then I thought hey! What about the DSNN gang? I know things are tight these days but I'm guessing IDR could use anything we can spare.

This is a horrible time of year to end up with 12 puppies and adults dogs too. I am sure these guys would appreciate any amount we can donate.
