Was screwing around with Adobe photoshop... working on something for a friend... was having a bit of trouble so I started with something easier... with photos taken this morning... just playing with images and possiblities and came up with this of Warkant... here is the photo and the end product... I know, I know, don't give up my day job!

Very nice! Warkant looks awesome!

I like the texture and depth of the shot, it reminds me of Norman Rockwell. I love the feel of his stuff.

What is with the Crocs? I have a fear of those shoes.......

Elaine, that's a lovely photo of Warkant... you have a good eye.. I love the work you do. Now, you know I'm not going to say anything about the Crocs... hey, there gets to be a time in your life, at least mine, when comfort means more than anything else. Of course, living in Upstate New York, I have to wear the Crocs without the holes and heavy wool socks... and long underwear.. and a sweater or two.. but the girls and I love it... except in April and May and.....

Hey, try the wooly Mammoth crocs. I have a nasty old pink pair -

They are some of homeliest shoes ever made but yeah, they're comfortable to slip into and run to the barn or the backyard or wherever.

Those Mammoth Crocs look great for this time of year. I might get a pair.

No question the Croc effect is not nearly as feminine as say, 4” stiletto heels, but boy are they comfortable and functional. I love my Crocs… love ‘em.. have half a dozen pairs. Even love my fake Crocs (I think the brand is called Hony...or something like that, the feed store sells 'em and they are sometimes all we can get in these parts). I am in and out of shoes all day long, down at the barn or whatever… I have to leave my shoes by the door or I’d be dragging a beach full of sand inside every day. I can just kick off my crocs by the door… they are so convenient, sometimes I forget I have them on, till I see popping up in photos or whatever. Not the best look, but a great shoe otherwise.

Tee hee! I thought I was the only sicko with multiple pairs of Crocs! I have the pink Mammoths for winter wear, a pair of plain pink ones for summer wear and a truly ratty pair of black ones for formal wear

There is a cute button on Facebook that features a big old kitty cat with his front feet shoved into a pair of Crocs and his speech bubble says: "There! Now do you see how ridiculous you look in these things?" Pretty funny :o

I don't have any crocs. I do have slippers that are used for the same purpose. I heard some place that a number of hospitals are banning their staff from wearing crocs. Any info on this?

Some hospitals and health facilities don't want any shoes that have openings in the top of the shoe - allows for needle sticks.

Thank God I don't live in you guys' weather!

I own no crocks. But today it is 70 degrees outside and I am wearing a pair of comfortable Earth Shoe sandels from Walmart.

Macy is spoiled she came from the far North to the South and warm temps. It doesn't even snow here. You guys can have all of it.

I love the snow. My favorite time of year is late fall and early spring. Cheryl likes the heat; I am not built for it.

As for the Crocs I hear they are the most comfortable shoes ever, but that they are really not good for your feet. There was something on the news that podiatrist are saying that kids should not wear them because they are bad for your feet. Seems weird that they could be that comfy and bad for ya.

I heard the same thing about the hospitals banning them because of the needle deal and something about the holes not being sanitary enough for hospital standard.

Happy New Year to all!!!

Athy, I too have a pair of pink mammoth crocs. Only pink because those were the only ones left in the bin that were my size. I like them very much, and I think I will get some more crocs soon. Some parts of southern Oregon had 11-14" of rain in one day last week. We only had 3.71" But I still think I'll go for the un-holy ones. Could maybe use them as boats if the creeks rise. It's good to live on a hilltop.

We're supposed to have wind gusts up to 65 mph tonight. It's not so good to live on a hilltop. Actually it's not real unusual here beside the Pacific Ocean. (The Yorkie is paper trained.)

I think the picture of Warkant was great before and after. He looks like a trophy in the second one. And the dog looks pretty fine to begin with as well.

Andy, do you have any crocs?

Ann,

I have no Crocs. I do have a pair of indoor slippers and an outdoor pair. I was actually wearing them today while scoopin poop.:D That was the only productive thing I did the entire day.

So, are your slippers with holes or without?

Scooping a valuable necessity of life. Where would the world be if no one did?

I think the snow is pretty but I'm too old and frail now to be shoveling the stuff. My shoulders are out.

Snow is nice if you don't have to drive in it with others. Snow would be nice to ride in a horse drawn sleigh. But that's about it.

My family in Spokane has had 61.5 inches just this December. Or, they have had a little over 11 feet this year. Too much for me. They all wish they had never left here and moved there. But housing was the issue. They've also been below zero enough times already.

I can still sit out on my patio. I barbqued last night.

When I have went to the cold country and come back, its like getting out into perpetual summer when you land. I use to hate it here; now, I changed my mind since I'm old and frail.

I agree about others driving in it. The flatlanders in this area panic with a skiff of snow on the roads! LOL! It is more fun to be home and have the fire going and enjoy the coziness of it all!
