Westminster ??

I notice the Doberman entry for Westminster is 6-12.

This is interesting.

I also notice that other dogs entry amounts are down.

I wonder what the recession is doing to dog shows?

I hope it is good for the little guy.

I’m sure that the economy has something to do with the entries being down… as does the logistics of showing at the Garden. It is hectic, expensive and stressful for everyone, most especially the dogs. Best times I’ve had at the Garden are when I did not have a dog entered. Most of our friends are leaving this Wednesday… there are the parties, the theater, the art galleries… the Toy Specialties... and Westminster itself. Most all do not have an entry, they are going to catch up with old friends and enjoy the event (leaving the dogs at home)

Btw, the odds favor the Giant Schnauzer that Taffy shows... or the Pointer... but there is always some surprise... which is what makes the Garden fun to watch.
