Thank you all for your good wishes.

Trouble started very heavy contractions that went on for 15 min., stopped a tad for rest and continued again, wopper contractions, and after 1and 1/2 hours, no pup, it was time to run into the vet.

All said and done, she had some large pups and one pup was positioned sideways making it impossible for her to even get into the birth canal.

I was more than upset with the C, as my last 2 attemps with her sister were a disaster, pups ready, but the vet wanting to wait, so we did a c to remove dead pups that plasentas had separated.

All went well, except we did have one black boy that was born perfect, strong, nursed, motoring around the incubator, but after 2 hours he developed breathing issues. He was scoped, found all normal, his heart was working perfectly fine, lungs clear, nothing wrong could be found. He was put on o2 and bounced back perfectly, but could not do well off of o2. The only thing found on him was that the soft spot on his scull was larger than the others, telling us he was younger in gestation.

There are no neonatal units for pups, so they sent us home. I tried and kept him going for a few hours, but without o2 it was a losing battle. I'm very sad about that, I really wanted him, but I am so grateful to have 3 wonderful black girls and 1 wonderful redhead! They mean the world to me.

Now to get Trouble out of the Hummer, she 's a tad drunk, and has no intention of moving! I'm feeding the girls until we can move the princess.

And I saw Lil Claire, and she knew me. She has the staff there wrapped around her paw, and knows it!

I got a chance to pop in today and see Trouble and the girls... what sweethearts. All are doing very well... Trouble is an amazingly loving attentive mother. At this point Jan needs a bit of a rest... maybe Walter can give her a break for a nap. :)

E2, by the time you get here these girls will be able to bench-press their mother! They are huge!!! :)

I’m hearing stories that these girls are quite a handful… they grab the keys to the Hummer and go joy riding around at night… Baby Zee and two of her sisters take turns on the steering wheel, and the big black girl is down on the gas peddle. If you look closely at the photo below you'll see two of the girls behind the wheel. They tour the country side looking for goats. Imagine what a ruckus they’d be causing when their eyes open. :p

And as you can see, Jan and I are both a bit sleep deprived. We have a whole scenario of these four little puppies on the road.

I have to give all photo credit to Elaine. She came over, we let the pups lose and she kept the camera shooting. It was a blast, and an issue trying to keep the pups from getting into the camera too close. They were intent on running at it and her! I am enjoying these girls to the max and all the difficulties in this venue seem to pale in contrast to the joy these girls are giving me. Trouble, the mom is being fantastic, even though they are eating mushed puppy food, she is still cleaning up after them, making my enjoyment even fuller!
