Today is the day, we’re supposed to share a love that’s grown so strong
You came into my heart, leaped into my soul, I feel I’ve known you so long
This days supposed to be filled with heart candy, roses, wine and song
So how come today, I get kisses and slurps, guess that can’t really be all so wrong?
Those breakfasts in bed, have long ago passed, just due to the fact we have more,
In our bed that is, aint room for eggs or toast, when I have two dobes that snore
They take all the covers, and pillows too, a thing I totally deplore
But what can you do, when the dobes that you have, have made the harder things in life less a chore?
Bring mud in my house, after being shoved out, in the rain, just because they don’t wanna go
And please don’t mention the fact, they do the very same thing, just as its beginning to snow
Here we are, umbrella in hand, and me looking like a crazy ole joe
I tell all my friends, who think I’m quite daft, its only to help my spring flowers grow
So on this day, I see the sparkle in their eyes, and a coat with unbelievable shine
And keep asking myself, where would I be without two creatures so loving and fine
So amidst all the chaos, bones, chewies, toys, and yes if I’m lucky some wine
I keep telling myself these two are TRULY are………. MY DOBIE VALENTINES.
