Snow in February

It’s early, almost pitch black outside, too early for any sun … the sky is just starting to lighten. While pouring my first cup of coffee I looked out towards the barn and saw a mass of haze... thinking, “Wow, that’s a lot of early morning mist. Reminds me of The Hounds of the Baskervilles." Few minutes later I look out again .. it’s not early morning haze.. it’s snow… Snow! IT SNOWED AGAIN… in February… in North Carolina… SNOW!!! Brentina and Lil’ Claire are looking out the window saying, “No way mom, we don’t do snow, not twice in one year.”


And as it lightens a bit more I can see that Lourdess is having a grand time in the snow. :rolleyes:

Our horsey boys are getting pretty tired of the snow up here in Maryland - they don't even cavort any more! They just head straight for the big round hay bale and start munchin' :)

Beautiful scene.
Looks like your girlie is doing very well.
My two went out this am and did the happy snow dance and then right back to bed after breakfast.

I went out this am and took some of Emma and Vaako romping. We got about 8 inces of fresh cover last yesterday..beautiful!

Yeah right, like I would leave the lights on in the truck... next you'll be suggesting that I can't recognize my own dogs as puppies in my photos or that I can't recognize my own dogs in the ring. :D

We had quite the morning.. there was a spot of black ice on the road along our property line... a kid in a truck hit the ice, spun out, hit a tree and flipped his truck backwards. No one was hurt but the truck will need CPR. :( Kinda of sad, this old truck was in perfect condition when the kid got behind the wheel this morning.

Some great pix there Elaine. Lil Claire looks as if she's doing very well. Others don't seem terribly perturbed by the snow<G> Maybe they know it won't last long unlike my guys who look out and start putting paws together in prayer for an early spring<G> Loved the light on pond pix. You sure get some great shots.
