Hi all! I'm new. I do not have a doberman but am owned by five Golden Retrievers and hope to someday in the distance future own a Rust and Tan Doberman. I'm do not like to show myself, I'm too nervous and do not take negative , rudeness, down right mean well!!! I do love to attend and watch shows . I believe I first started to notice the Doberman due to a patient at the Hospital were I work. His name is Cain and is the most loving boy I've meant beside my golden boys. He was there for a abdominal obstruction. He was touch and go for a few days and then started to come around. That was over four years again. Now whenever he come to the Hospital I also make sure to give him love!!!! A little about myself ; I'm middle aged have two children and have been happily married for eighteen years. I have also had animals in my life , from the time I was seven until now. First 4H horse shows, then dogs, then cats etc. I work for a Veterinary Hospital as a Veterinary Assistant and have for over eight years. I already mention I have Golden Retrievers, ranger from three to twelve. I also have three cats, Himalayan going on fourteen, Persian that is six and a rescue cat that only weight two pds when I got him around 6mths ago he is now eight pounds and a very loving boy!!! I came across a website that had Logres farm website listed around a Very Handsome boy named Ch. Logre's Contender and I was amazed how stunning this dogs are!!!!! So since someday in the distance future I for see a Doberman in my life I decided it would be a good idea to become a member and learn all I can!!!!! Thank you Elaine for the invite and showing me a truly awesome Doberman!!!!:)

Tina, you lucky sole !!!! Thanks for the lead to sporting dogs. Also Thanks about the name. It has a very long sad story behind it. Its not my real name., I had a daughter that passed away at five years of age and her name was Amanda Lashelle!

Hi Lashelle!

I am a new member here also :) I have had goldens all my life too but decided to make the crossover to dobes and I'm excited haha! I will appreciate LESS HAIR! They are wonderful dogs though and obviously, will always have a place in my heart. I'm pretty sure I will always have one :)

Everyone for the kind invites!!!! Boy do we have hair at my house!!! My son is sixteen and carries a lint brush everywhere . We try to stay away from dark colors, but then it seems to show on my ceil blue uniforms also. They are great dogs, but I'm jealous I can't have a doberman too. Thats o.k. for now I'll just see all your babies and be that much more ready when my time comes!!! Look forward:) to many pictures and fun chats.

it's not "less hair", it's "less longer hair". :p

Welcome, and nice shots of your furry family.

Haha Lou's Mom -

You're right I should have said less longer hair - I do realize that dobes still shed....but I still cannot describe to you the shedding of a golden - honestly second in my book only to German Shepherds. Haha.

Will Contender ever be siring a litter?

Absolutely yes, at some point… he is a beautiful expression of his pedigree :)

Thanks for you for that information, I will continue to watch and listen to see when that happens. I'm not ready for a doberman yet, But that would be a chance I wouldn't want to miss . I really do think he is awesome. I don't know much about the standard , but in my eye he is everything a doberman should look like. I'm sure that he also have an outstanding temperment!!!! I just can't say enough about how much I like him.
