Sheila, We are so happy for you! And Wei... what a good job!! I'm sure everyone is resting this morning; but Sheila, give Wei a big hug and kiss from me and her little sister Cera. The pups are becoming very mobile and are now really getting interesting. They are approaching each other and even trying to initiate what seems like rudiments of playing. They certainly aren't short of rations with 9 nipples and four of them<G>

The little kids are growing up so fast!! Red collar is first born, Laura and yellow collar is second born Hedy. Blue collar third born, Virgi and the big boy Fleming wears no collar. Enjoy!!!

This is Ausleben’s Ian Fleming at about 8 weeks, I think he is lovely and I love the look of mischief.

We all know how difficult it is to get that perfect photo, the photographer could be standing up slightly higher, but you can clearly see what a very nice young man Fleming is becoming. Sheila says he is very precocious, takes after Mom more than Pop (who is the classic sweet mellow Red Boy). I can see breeders hanging on to a puppy like this, but his up and showy personality may be a factor in whether Sheila allows him to go to a good show home. I can attest to how difficult it is to have more than one male in a household.

I love the photos. Fleming is very nice. I am particularly fond of Laura, but am having flashbacks of a puppy chocking on a hotdog. I was taking photos of a stacked puppy when all of a sudden the puppy takes a huge bit. He then stopped breathing. He went completely limp. A finger sweep did not dislodge the hot dog. Abdominal thrusts eventually dislodged the hot dog so a finger sweep could clear his airway.

Please slice the hot dog length wise to avoid this problem.

Actually, after talking with Elaine I like both the other bitches too.

I am absolutely thrilled with my new owners! Miss Hedy (now called Isis) has gone to live with Leandra and Fab who also have Lexus from my previous litter. They are both wonderful, caring people who have visited me regularly and who have been involved in putting a herding title on Lexus and are working on her CD. However, Isis will be groomed for conformation.

Miss Virginia, Virgi, went last Saturday to live with Mark, his wife and twelve year old daughter Mirielle. This is another fabulous home! They had a rescue dobe early in their marriage so they too have experience. Mark has already enrolled with a club and has told me Mirielle would like to become involved in junior handling; however, Virgi will be shown by a professional handler at the appropriate time.
Mark's wife is thrilled from a distance about Virgi since she is on assignment in Africa presently. Again Mark and Mirielle are gentle, caring and very much in love with Virgi! I have had at least six emails and four calls from Mark since the weekend<G> and Virgi will be coming to visit in the near future.

Sorry I've been gone so long and have missed so many posts but the dust has finally settled after the move and I'm back<G>

To update everyone on the litter: Virgi and Fleming finished their Can Chs a week apart when they were seven months old. Today, Hedy now called Isis, finished her Ch. I just got the call a few minutes ago. With the move, she was derailed for a while to be shown but has finished in four weekends despite being in season for one and then going into a false pregnancy for another<G> Never had the latter happen to me before<G>. The third girl, Laura, who was eminently finishable as well, as some of you know went to a friend who has had two of my previous dobes and lives far north in Ont. and is just too removed from show venues. When I get Hedy's finishing picture I will try to post it plus Virgi's and Fleming's finishing pictures as well.
