It seems as though so many folks on this forum, and indeed around the world, are facing a crisis of one form or another. Dogs have been gravely ill, faced extreme adversity, and some have evn been surrendered to that place beyond this world. People we have grown to love face earth shattering challenges on a daily basis. Whether we pray, send pawsitive thoughts, or just think about these folks (and yes, I include the dogs in "folks"), I feel its time to do that, and often if we can. In the struggling economy and the stress that goes with it, we sometimes forget just how much we have to celebrate. We have cherished and beautiful dogs. We have a doggie community that, even though we bicker like siblings, hold out their hands for help when others can only think of themselves. It has been said that much is required of those to whom much has been given. We have been given a lot. Don't believe me? Take a look at your dog...now is the time to reach out to those near and far, and find out if there is anything we can do. Not in the fakey detached sense, but in a genuine one. Maybe some people feel they are too busy, or worse, too important to be there for someone else that perhaps they have never met in person. Its unfortunate that people make that a distinction. In the theme of pay it forward, consider: tell the folks that you love that you love them, connect with those you call your friends, and show compassion for those you do not know. Maybe, just maybe, we can make the world a better place one small smile at a time. And to all who know me, I love ya, and to those who do not, I say welcome, and to those I will never meet I do wish the wind to be at their backs. Just a thought on a difficult day for many.

Well said Brenna. It is a tough time on everyone right now and it seems like the whole world is spinning and unravelling.
Scary times but as you say it is good to cherish everyone we know be it family, friends, our 4 legged family and our friends here that we have never met but feel like we have known each other forever.
