Today really feels like the first day of spring around here. The birds are singing.. the frogs are making a racket in the pond... it's finaly warm enough to be out in just a tee-shirt... pruning the roses. I grabbed the camera and snapped these photos of Warkant playing with his mother through the run fence.

All I can say is PERFECTION.
What a muscle machine that boy is. Just awesome.
His Aunt, who will be there to see him again in 3 weeks and I can't wait.

Given the background of the photos and the obvious imperfections in lighting and all, I was a bit hesitant about putting them on DSNN for all the world to see. I went ahead and posted them here - in part - because I think his muscling and condition are pretty amazing, especially considering that every girl we have is either coming into season, in season or just coming out. I wanted a record of this moment and this day in time. All things considered, he's a pretty good looking guy. :)

He's a very good looking guy! He has a very nice butt -- or should I say rear end assemblage :p
Do you do anything specifically to exercise him or is he just naturally so muscular? I'll bet running around with the horses is the key!

We do not do anything special with Warkant. He is a stallion of a dog… no question… even from puppyhood he has owned the ground he stands on. He does not run with the horses, we've never ever let him in with the horses (unlike Titan and Brentano, there is no “off” or “backup” switch on Warkant), but I think that living on 22 acres has had a huge impact on his physical development. :)
