Michelle Lewis just let me know that Ann pass from Complications from heart surgery on Sunday. We have lost a lot of good people lately and she will be sadly missed.

I can barely process this news. Ann was one of the most knowledgeable Doberman people I've ever talked with. I can't even form my thoughts. I am so sorry to hear this.

Oh no! I felt so privileged to have Ann as a member of DSNN… she was an extraordinary woman, so knowledgeable about our Breed… so generous with her time, truly a one of a kind. We have lost a great lady and true ambassador for our breed.

We are truly saddened by her passing. The Doberman world has lost a gracious lady.

I feel so lucky to have gotten to know her through this group. Since I am late in life to conformation, I have had the good fortune to talk to her off list and she was sooooo gracious.

Looking forward to reading her book when it comes out this summer. So happy she did this and can pass her knowledge on to those of us that are looking for information on the Doberman Breed.

The website for Ann and Karen's new book is www.dobermanhistory.com.

It looks like it's going to be a wonderful historic reference for all Doberman lovers.

I did receive the news of Ann Lanier and while I did post on another forum expressing my sympathies, I will never forget the message that Ann sent me when my little Pixie passed on.

I just wanted to say farewell to sweet Ann on DSNN and I know she will still continue to guide us from up above.

Ann Lanier, you will truly be missed.

Ann was indeed a very special person. I may at some point post some of what she sent me privately, about what she went through with the DPCA… from her perspective. The theme is redundant, going back to a core group of individuals, who’s leadership and influence have proven toxic to Dobermans over the years. I am honored that Ann contributed to DSNN. I only wish we had been around years earlier, merely as a place for people to post the truth about what actually goes on behind-the-scenes.
