Without going in to a lot of details here, Janice and Roger could sure use our prayers right about now. They are going through something that none of us ever wants to face... it's been a roller coaster for about a week now. :( Saturday was looking pretty good, we thought we had a miracle... but today is not so good.
You all may know that Janice is very special to Arthur and I, without her we would never have gotten our Lizabeth back... she will always be special to us, for that and so many other reasons. Janice is just about the most giving, kindest soul you will ever meet. Just want to let Janice and Roger know that we care and they are in our hearts and prayers.

Dear Janice and Roger,
So sorry to hear that things are not good for you.
I may not know what tomorrow holds but I know who holds tomorrow!
God's ways are not always our ways but I know he wants the best for us.
Praying that you find some comfort knowing that others care.
Love and hugs to you,
Tina

So sorry that life brings at times sorrow. Please know that many are thinking and praying for your deliverance from such.
I know little can be done from this standpoint except to offer you hope and light.

Just got off the phone with Janice. Uno was at the vets again this morning, he is home now. This situation is pretty much in God's hands.
This has been the roller coaster ride from hell for Janice and Roger. It all stared with what may have been a massive infection… a residual from an altercation with a littermate, that did not resolve with the course of antibiotics. About a week ago the infection was out of control… at this point they are dealing with complications related to the massive stress on the dog.
NO question but that Uno is fighting this… he has been a tiger, he is not ready to give up. There have been good days, like last Saturday when his blood work looked good, and days like yesterday and last night, which were not so good. :(
Bottom line, veterinary medicine simply doesn’t have the answers we need now, today. We are not sure that Uno will win this long-term battle, but I know for a fact that Roger and Janice are giving him every possible chance.
I have said this before and I am saying it again, I believe in the power of prayer… if we all pause for a moment and send a good thought for Uno to pull through this, it may make a huge difference.

Hi folks,
So many times when asked for prayer, people respond that they don't know how to pray. Just talk to God like you would talk to a friend!
But in case you are still not sure, here is a prayer for you to pray!
Lord, your Word says that wherever two or more are gathered in your name, you are in the midst of them. So, Father, I gather here with my DSNN family and lift Janice and Roger's Uno before you. I ask for your healing touch upon his body. I also ask for peace that surpasses all understanding for Uno's family during this time. May your perfect will be done. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen
I am holding UNO in good thoughts and positive prayers for healing, health and well-being!
May all the surrounding heart love, resonance of caring and UNO's own spirit
see him rising up and moving with vigor, vitality, health and wholeness.
Blessings, abundance of healing energies and good fortune!

Thank you Ron and Tina.
We all may express our faith a bit differently, but the underlying belief in a higher power and a greater purpose is consistent among us all.

Janice and Roger,
Bob and I send our love and support at this very sad time.
We know nothing that can be said makes this easier. Know though, you are in our thoughts.

So very terribly sorry for your loss.
Oh, Janice, I am so very sorry.
Athy
Sad.
May all of us find some solace in the belief and trust that UNO is jumping and playing in doggie heaven.
Ever pause to ponder or wonder about the metamorphosis of a caterpillar to a butterfly? Think about it. A caterpillar – a sort of worm crawling on the ground – weaves a cocoon around its body, turns into a gooey mess, reorganizes itself, and one day cracks through its surroundings, emerges as a butterfly, and flies in the sky. Pretty amazing stuff. It's said that what is "death" to the caterpillar, is "life" to the butterfly.
Janice and Roger, may you in your own unigue-as-a-fingerprint natural time, find healing for the heart pain of your loss of dear UNO.
Everything that exists, exists only in relationships.
We are wired for relationships; that’s why their loss creates so much pain. We are born in a mother’s womb. Our connective umbilical cord is cut, but not our need for relationship.
So grief may ebb, yet flow on and never completely end. Death may end a life but death does not end a relationship. Life necessarily consists of a variety of losses – some especially painful. Life consists of polarities (apparent opposites), which exist only in relation to one another – such as death being the other side of the coin of life, and grief the other side of love.
Mary Oliver guides us (at the end of “In Blackwater Woods”):
...
To live in this world
you must be able
to do three things:
to love what is mortal;
to hold it
against your bones knowing
your own life depends on it;
and, when the time comes to let it go,
to let it go.
May G.o.d. (or whatever you choose to call the Ground of Being, the Source of Life, y/our Original Face, the Infinite Thou, the Alfa and Omega, the Higher Power, y/our Ultimate Concern, the Great Spirit, the Benevolent Mystery, etc.) bless you with a heartfelt inner assurance, trust and peace ... which goes far deeper than these mere words.
May we give thanks for UNO and all the UNOs of this world who have given us so much companionship, enjoyment and love - unconditional love!

Janice and Roger, I am sorry. I only know what helps me get through the pain of losing a loved one. That is sharing memories of them. So if you ever want to tell me some of the many memories you have of him please feel free to contact me.

Janice and Roger,
Nothing can ease your pain at this difficult time. You're in my prayers. May this poem bring you comfort. It was given to me years ago. Jerri
The Spirit of a Doberman
I was standing on a hillside,
In a field of blowing wheat
and the spirit of a doberman
was lying at my feet.
He looked at me with kind dark eyes,
An ancient wisdom shining through
And in the essence of his being I saw the love there too.
His mind did lock upon my Heart
As I stood there
on that day
and he told me of this story,
about a place so far away.
I stood upon that hillside,
In a field of blowing wheat
and in the twinkling of a second
His spirit left my feet.
His tale did put my heart at ease,
my fears did fade away
about what lay ahead of me
on another distant day.
"I live among God's creatures now
In the heavens of your mind
So do not grieve for me, my friend
As I am with my kind.
My collar is a rainbow's hue
My leash a shooting star
My boundaries are the Milky Way
Where I sparkle from afar
So when your life on earth is spent
You stand at heaven's gate
Have no fear of loneliness
For here you know I wait."

So sorry to hear about this. Uno was a stunning dog and just by his pictures I can tell what a sweet heart he was. You are in my thoughts, just went through this in June :(

So sorry for your loss.
My phrase for these hard times is Gibran:
"The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain"

Roger and I thank you all for your support and prayers. It will be awhile before I get really get it back together, if I ever do. As you my know Uno was more than just a dog, he was a very dear friend. He could read a person in a heart beat and know if they were worthy of his time.
He took a big chunk of my heart with him.
Again Thank You All!
