I can't believe the babies are 8 1/2 months old already! Just yesterday they were being fed goat's milk and wiggling around in the palm of my hand.

We have some very exciting news about Tala everyone!

Today we proudly watched as Talamasca walked with his new mom, Ms Jerri Skinner, through the airport, past security and onto a jet bound for Arizona.

Tala has found his forever home with this special woman. There was an instant connection for Bob and I with Jerri and most of all, for Tala and Jerri.
Tala seemed to sense in Jerri how much her heart ached for her Moses.
Tala stayed with Jerri her first night in. We called that night to check on the two of them and Jerri seemed so happy.
Jerri told us the next day, he slept with his head on her chest all night......in our minds and hearts ,Tala was home.

Tala will be Jerri's service dog.
He rode in the cabin of the plane home to Arizona today. Tala was so proffesional at his new role it was like we had spent one day a week going to the airport! LOL!
He took everything in stride. Looking over his shoulder at us as he went through security as if to say, "I got this old Mom and Dad...all is good!"

We are anxiously waiting to hear about the flight and how everything past security went!

Bob and I are so happy for this special puppy. He will not only have his time in the show ring, he will live a purpose filled life with Jerri.

As breeders, we can't ask for more for our puppies and are just thrilled!
Please welcome Jerri to the extended Blackwood/Logres family!

From the moment you did this breeding - to the day that Tala stepped his paw on that plane - you two have been absolutely amazing in your commitment to the Vaako –Emma breeding. You never got distracted by the “noise in the background.” You never swayed from your goals for the litter and the Blackwood breeding program. Through ups and downs, you stayed true to your values… true to what you believed. And look at the amazing litter you produced. :) I am so proud of you both… and so proud of Tala. Can’t wait to see photos of him and Jerri. I will get his photos up ASAP.

And can’t wait to see Pagan and the girls in the ring. :)

You knew from day one that this was a special boy, yes, you love them all equally, but I think that you realized that Talla was to have a very special
job .....I remember you talking about your little sweet, "orange collar", Halloween boy, and how appropriate that he went to his new home on Halloween !!
We're so anxious to watch him grow and mature in his new roles ....I know he will "wow" them in the ring, and he and Jerri will have the most special bond.

Thanks everyone! We are very proud of him!

We worked from the minute they were on the ground to ensure all of them would be confident and secure dogs. Of course with Mom and Dad being who they are genetically the puppies had a head start. All we had to do was improve on the foundation and get them out in the world. Watching him with Jerri made us so proud, it was the payoff for all the work and time.

It will be very exciting to watch him move forward with Jerri and in the show ring with Pete Ventura!

We are thrilled to have Jerri be part of our Blackwood/Logres family!!! It seems Tala was waiting for her to find him!!

You guys have so much to be proud of…I can’t think of any dog I’ve seen that would be able to take on what Tala had to do on Saturday, at so young of an age. Kudos to all of you… can’t wait to hear about Jerri and Tala as the years roll by. :)

When the time is right Jerri and Peter will enter him.
I do believe he is settling into his new home and enjoying getting to know his new family a bit better for now.
