I just caught up and watched this. Really nice young horse.
You have got to be pleased with him.

Yes, I am out of horses... I've had more than enough, trust me. It's time to focus my energies in a postive new direction, have some fun... and do what I please. Hopefully the mares will go to Germany sometime soon.. and Sandro D, who is for sale, may help finance the trip

Default Update - Commander in Portugal on the Sunshine Tour

We just got this about Commander and wanted to share... Commander has been doing very well... we re thrilled.

Hi Arthur,

Just wanted to let you know that Commander has been down in Portugal in Villamora on the Sunshine Tour for the last month and has only had 2 fences down the entire month being placed all the other days including being 2nd twice which is pretty impressive at his first international show , you can see the results on equievents in the 6 year old section and I am sure his best performances will be put on Bruce’s website when they get back home. Hope you are all well we have had chaos in Europe with the volcano in Iceland but fortunately Bruce managed to get on the ferry with the horses tonight so they will be back home later tonight.

All the best Cilla

Just saw a link to the competition in Portugal. Commander was the only American bred horse in the competition. There are offspring of the top jumper bloodlines in the world:

OLDBG/USA/ST/04 / Contago x Fancy Ruler (this is Commander)

OLDBG/GER/ST/04 / Sandro Boy x Titanic

WESTF/GER/ST/04 / Cornet Obolensky x Riviera

OLDBG/GER/ST/04 / Baloubet du Rouet x Lawenna

HOLST/GER/ST/04 / Corrado I x Nevada II

BWP/BEL/M/04 / Lancier x Brooke van de Zuutheove

It is a fantastic feeling to see the son of our foundation mare Fancy Ruler holding his own with the best jumper bloodlines in the world.
